Got caught along PIE towards changi right before the exit to CTE. At 1230pm. I saw 2 other LTAs on the road after I got caught. So I think that timing is the hot spot for them.

i was riding on PIE to changi airport around 2pm from paya ubi after i went m-technik...along that short stretch, i saw 3 TP or LTA and 1 TP subaru, total 2 vans and 2 lorries got stop. I think PIE is the most dangerous route by far..lucky am on my GS

agreed..in fact i seldom ride my sporty on expressway, on small roads if sense danger can turn off into lanes and car parks, expressway there aint much route to escape

I got caught a few years back on PIE before Steven Road exit and kena $500.I've been avoiding expressway since. Changed back to stock pipes few weeks back, too stressful to be looking over my shoulders all the time. Yesterday I was riding on PIE, saw a LTA waiting at the same spot, he was staring at me all the time, felt good. I think I kena caught Sunday with another Harley bro for speeding on our way to Handlebar, waiting for the ticket. ****.

Haha, well said Shawn. You back in Singapore? Anyway I gotta change out of 16" apes, my mech also said if its above the shoulders, high chance ants will catch. Anybody got any suggestions what I should change to? Thinking of 12" apes or maybe Z bar?

Are Harley Davidson bikes put to noise test?

 

 

 

EVERY time a Harley Davidson motor cycle passes by, it generates a deafening noise much louder than the piling machine at a construction site.

If piling machines are subjected to strict noise regulations, why are the Harley Davidson bikes exempted?

 

The high decibels from a Harley Davidson bike may cause hearing impairment.

 

If cars in Singapore have to pass an emission test, shouldn't the noise level of Harley Davidson motor cycles be tested too?

Wah that's the exit I frequented most! In fact I just saw one standing right after the divider of cte/pie exit... Sianz...

Now is the the expressway you should aviod...they are everywhere, saw 1 right after the Ubi driving centre....I close throttle all the way...( 49st baffle out ).....Last heard....no matter way you go you can hide...operations carpark...so if you park you bike and dun cover good luck to you....if stock you are safe, if have mod that is illegal....you probably receive a letter of appreciation from LTA....then will send you for a course...inspection course that is....so cover you bad tied tied....

Last I tried flushing the toilet is pretty loud as well. I should write in to request for control of products in relation to the flushing system. Maybe an inspection every year or so to ensure the flushing system is quiet.

 

Sickening thing about people here...is that these idiots think that they can complain about and control whatever they don't like. The community has to be run in accordance to their liking without regard to what other people like. Just look at the various waste of bytes in STOMP. Or the recent comment after general elections that resale flat prices should be lowered. These idiots forget that there are people on the other side ie: resale flat owners and people who have worked hard and earned to ride a Harley and have a life. Ever had anyone comment that the music that you like is too loud and noisy and he can't understand it so it's crap? That's the fella.

 

Great job Singaporeans. One fella is complaining about how boring Singapore is and another fella is saying hey that's against the order of things...let's screw that and another fella is saying hey I don't like that cool looking and sounding fella because I'm a nerd who knows abit of English let's write to screw them cause I got nothing better to do. Probably the same fella is doing all of the above as well.

 

I hope the people like quiet sewing machine Harleys during Chingay and National Day Parades.

Unfortunately that smile has been slapped off my face much to the pleasure of the LTA officers who caught me and the nerds who like an uninteresting life.

Dude that's 2006.

 

With my SE muffs no one could hear me much, not that I mind cause I'm just after a clearer tone. Now that I'm on stock I doubt anyone could hear me from inside that metal cage with their audio playing even when I'm blowing. Maybe the valve ticking clacking could catch their attention though.
