yes...dat will be one of the 1st places i visit when im really ready to get the Bike... thanx.

Yah, bro...dun worry la. step by step loh. You know why i get my Class 2 for. Now my aiming bike seems drifting further and further. Sigh.

Infact i like something like that, got more grungy and easier to style factors. This type can so call more thing to play abt. But i need to store up my barang too. If this one put box may damage it's original fierce look.

RK got the size and good looking with boxes. But very limited in punk it up and heard that can't play much in handling, cornering perhaps.

Very confuse now too. Many HD are great art piece to me. Springer is the classy gentlemen, Fatboy softtail series can do up many thing but may not 100% looks great with RK style panniers....Get a cheap RK but can't do up too much in customise it.

Hmm...how bro? 'Boh Lui', 'Boh lobang' and 'Boh firm idea which too get'....

Practice make perfect....But since Nothing is perfect, Why practice so hard? by Cowboy Wong....

I didn't know I already in love with my Slow Little Greenie until recently almost selling her away...how can like that? :faint:

Hello guys

I ride a RK.

If you want to paint it, take note that it will cost more than normal HD bikes as there are the boxes to paint. Almost twice as much if complicated graphics are involved...

Just some info..

THIS IS THE BIKE I ORIGINALLY WANTED TO POST UP HERE! But worry of any infringment of copyrights that's why i posted the green one.... :lovestruck: YES, this is the type i wanted. Very tough and mean looking machine. And this one look familiar as i saw it in the other site. But never thought it is so 'gum' belongs to you. Great machine. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Who is the new owner now? Or is it still on sales? If still on sale still got some slim chances to own it, or maybe a RK if pocket and situation allow.

BTW. wat has happened to her? Care to share?

Hey

The bike was sold to my friend NICK.

He is buying a brand new sportster instead.

It's therefore for sale.

I will SMS you the HP no.

Last time I saw it, it was still in good condition and he was changing the carburetor at HD dealership.

When you want to see it I can go wif you to check and test ride the bike...

Hi all, I am very interested to know more about Harley too~!

Happened to go into Harley showroom recently and was immdiately captivated by all the huge bikes... Its such a beautiful sight to see them all in the showroom. I am especially interested in V Rod and the new Street Rod... they are just so beautiful.... :lovestruck:

I have always thought that I should stop at Class 2A, but after seeing the Harley, I am now full of determination to get a Class2 and get a Harley... It would be a long term goal I am working towards... Hope to join the club soon~!

Meanwhile, Happy Riding~!

Greetings,

I'm new to Harleys and I just view a 99' XL1200C. I really like the sound and aura of the bike, it's like music and candy to the eyes and ears.

But what's holding me back is my ignorance. I have no idea how to maintain a Harley. I don't like the fact that a bike with such great aura fall into the hands of someone who know nothing about it. So could someone please ease on my anxiety on this matter?

I need to know what are the maintenance (tire, engine oil, transmission oil, air filter) cost like, what kind of problems are sportster prone to. I've spent some time on researching these matters and i know of 2 shops in Singapore that services Harleys. SumSoon and Sunburst.

If I were to overhaul the bike, what kind of cost am i looking at.

Thanks.

Speaking of dealers, i heard if you send your bike there for service/repairs. They charge by the hour. So if they decide to have your bike overnight, ouch!

Posted

No lah ... every job has a pre-determine man hour required for it to be done . so they will bill you according. It's suppose to be a more fair system so eveyone who is for example changing fork oil, will be charge the same price.

It's like sayng they have a fixed prce list and the price is determine by the number of hours the machanic on the average will take to do that job.

PML for BMW bikes uses the same system, but the per hour rate of PML machanc is alot more than HD.

So how much are we talking about when doing normal servicing? Engine oil, filters.

How much does one final drive belt cost? I heard it's very durable, if well-ridden, it last 80,000km.

and i read somewhere that v-twins are very prone to oil leaks.... any comments from existing HD owners??

was previously worried also about the cost of maintaining a harley before I bought it.

But after buying it, I realised that the cost of maintianing a harley is the same as with any other japanese made bikes (If you dont send it to the dealership for servicing).

There are othere palces where they can service a harley at a fraction of the cost of the dealership.

harleys are known to be Start and Go bikes...they dont usually give alot of problems. As they are built to be tough.

The only thing that is expensive is actually the dressings (make ups). Cause there are so many parts that can be changed to suit your own personality unlike japanes made bikes. Harley riders usually are tempted by these and spend their money on these dressings, from handlebars to pipes, to grips, to forks, etc.

So if you are contended to just ride a stock bike, I would say that the maintenance is the same as that of any other make bikes.
