Woo thanks, because of your reply, i rode to the bike shop 800m from my house and got it changed, now running fine.

But the old plugs were black and like oil clogged. Sigh, think something wrong with my engine already.

half click leaner and it should be fine. or your carbs needs refreshing. I have a spare with dynojet needle. Let me know if you need replacing for cheap.

Dear all,

Friend of mine thinking of mounting high pipes on a Monster 620 (I think). Are there any legal options for this?

Thanks

Cheers

carb has a few settings that use long flat screwdriver. if you look from the bottom, there are two screws to set. turn the one on the left half turn(if youre viewing from front of the bike. But if its limited, you need a new carb/needle(post 02 ones are better than the old model carbs). try adjusting first. if your sparks are still heading for fouling or wet and black, then something is wrong with the carb or needle or there is a leak. If that happens, I have spare carb with 900 needle. Once installed, it can be tuned properly at mike or raymond. hope this clarifies. btw im no expert either, just advising from experience. good luck

dude half turn 180 quarter turn 90. Try half turn first. If your idle is off come back a quarter. But if carb is screwed or screw is missing and you see a threaded hole there you need to replace it. Then let me know and ill check the manual for m9 screw setting.

I saw the advertisement under SBF by GPR and they claimed all their pipes to be street legal. Maybe you wanna try their high mount? :thumb:

Are you talking about the synchronization screw as in this diagram?

I think he means the idle screw. dont touch the sync screw. it is for really screwed up opening of throttle. Where did you get the digram from? I think counterclockwise is leaner and clockwise is richer. Opposite from what is written but i may be wrong. Can post the link here so i go take a look for my ST4s?

To clarify, I meant the idle mixture screw(from your diagram). SL is right. dont touch the sync screw. clockwise half turn (lean). if idle runs off, back one quarter. dont touch the other screws. if really unsure, consult a mechanic, altho usually i do this myself for simplicity's sake.

Damn, I can't reach the idle screw without removing the oil cooler, so will go down to william and ask him to turn for me.

The link is here.

H@nn, how much you want to let go of the needle? William said the engine got problem or the needle needs servicing. Cos fuel overflowed which resulted in the spark plug becoming black and wet.
