Hi guys I just passed cl 2 last week and probably thinking a Monster 696.Got a few questions to ask before I buy.How are the fuel consumption, servicing (how much and how often).Lastly if gettin a 2nd hand 696,what are the things i need to look out for? Thanks alot

Hi bro, Currently i riding 696. The full tank is 15L, 3.5L (Reserve) and 11.5L (Main). As for Main tanks run total of 230KM, about 20KM per L. How often is depend how much u travel. For Servicing, Frist 1K Servicing then after which is 12K Servicing then 24K servicing and etc..

As for 2nd hand, i really not very sure. Maybe look out for oil leak from the block and dont get too high mileage 696....

Cheers and ride safe...

Hello, new user here. Wanna check if anybody installed a GIVI REAR BOX on your monster?

I think I might be the first in Singapore. *runs away*...

Stick to super 4 if you are considering to install a top box.

Ducati is abt less is more,it's an Arabian Stallion.Designed streamlined and should stay streamlined.

If you want a mule go and buy a BMW.

Btw with any bike,a top box will throw off handling and will do the same with a duc.

Went down to motoworld to have a look at the titax levers. Left black and titanium ones. $220 for normal levers, $320 for foldable ones. Wondering which to get. Any thoughts?

normal ones better for road and the ducati clutch is heavy. some more you ride in traffic often. black is all rounder. i remember their titanium colour not so happening but still very nice anyway. careful of dropping the brake light pin if you change levers yourself. very tiny pin in the MC area

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

Hi Ladies & Gentlemen,

I'm recently a new owner to a old '98 monster 400. So yes, I'm proud and as well bewildered by the bike. Hahaaa~

Anyway, was hoping to meet you guys up if you have any coffee sessions soon. Get my head round the techie stuff and where to go etc..

So yes, I do drop by Michael's place once in a while (recently, it might have to be more sessions....)

I shall keep my eyes peeled in this forum then..

Cheers,

Jon :dozed:
