do u all ever wonder over some parking issues

hi all, i have been wondering bout this problem for quite some time. firstly if i wan to park my motor for a long period of time, normally ppl will tend to cover it using bike cover. so when u cover it with bike cover, what will the parking attendant do bout it? they cantt possibly lift up and see, or jus ignore? if i were to tie the bike cover to secure it? how are they going to check wether this bike have the valid coupons or valid season parking?

They will try to lift the cover and find the coupon or season pass. So you want to make it easy for them the find it. Imagine where is the best place for them. If they can't find it and don't remember your bike, you will get a ticket. But you still have a chance to explain if you have season pass. New season disc are machine scan-able and they will not need to open the cover. I don't know how far/near it is. Just got mine this month.

eh ? How you apply for it? charges are higher than normal ones?

it depends on the pple who are in charge of giving summons in yr area

some more garang some are more 'generous'

so far i've been using bike canvas cover + secured tightly by tying up the loose ends for the past 2 years

kena abt 3 summons ($8 each) so far

i covered my bike even i just leave it for 3 hrs.. my friend got complain to HDB regarding the auntie lifting his cover and never cover back properly.. the equipment they holding will be able to know whether your bike had season parking or not one.. till the day i bought my bike, i never display my season parking..

 

anyway HDB coming out with new parking disc.. just place your parking dics near the area where you tie your cover when using the new one soi that they can scan..

 

due to the theft rate here, it's better to cover and deter..

 

alternative would be buy a clip and secure your coupon or season parking to it, clip it to where you tie your bike..

hmmm.. nowadays i found out that my area's void deck become new parking lots for bikes liao.. been going on for months and nobody cares.. i think my area people all live in harmony leh.. no ppl complains..

sometimes they juz feel ur no. plate coz most no. plates alphabets n numberings are pertudring out.. sorry if wrong spelling...

wah now so high tech liao ah. i tot is e no. plate is being input in e machine so tat they will know tat it is a season in tat parking place didnt know tat they actually know tat its a season holder tat way. aniwaes, i nv display my season n no parking offendce in my place.

write your plate number on the bike cover.

 

1. easy for P.A to see

2. less chance of cheapo ppl steal your bike cover.
