Any with AIG for insurance got their renewal letters lately? I'm shocked to see my premium dropped to below 800, i paid around 1300++ when i bought the bike last year. Even with +15% ncd it's still a very big diff.

 

Anyone knows if they quote 3rd party rates or based on the existing policy? Cos i'm on comprehensive currently.

 

I'm currently on AIG 3rd party fire & theft aka 2nd party. $600+ for 04 bike. > 35 years old. Hope this helps....

Ok just to update on the insurance thing for everyone's reference. My comprehensive with AIG for '08 10r, 25% ncd, 31 years old is $788.

 

Who says kawa insurance is expensive?

Dear fellow ninja's, i have sold by baby after an seductive affair of 2 years 3 months. One of the best production superbikes ! No complains at all, only compliments for this monster which brought me a never ending thrill, joy and excitement. Really loved the bike and best bike i ever rode. No major problems for ZX-10Rs. Only the early batch of 04s would randomly have generator failures, this is something that happens worldwide but kawasaki has never had an official recall. Most likely by now any failures would have occurred already.

 

Apart from that no issues, just the usual wear and tear. Parts are easily ordered from KL by shops that regularly service 10Rs. Good bike with cheap insurance. Having a bloody irritating vibration from the front end around 4k rpm is not a problem, it's a trait of 10Rs. My '04 had it, my '08 has it, my friend's '06 has it.

But somebody has mentioned before that they now have an outlet in JB?

 

If this is true, would a kind soul provide an address or GPS co-ordinates?

 

Deeply in need of some parts and the ever helpful Kawa agt in Spore is taking their sweet timeeeeee..............
