ey i did it at my bike shop.. sorry forget mentionin tat...

anyway i do it free there.. since i got my bike there.. its comes as a service package.. just have to pay my own key blank and dup... programming is inc..

i got my bike out from loois... 2003 spec 2..

been there a few times for the key problem..

kinda fragile key , easy to kena memory failure sort type....

i remember c ing the mech using a cable tat bypasses the internal circuit and with the key in slot. this should form a closed circuit in electrical terrms.. and somehow.. he plays with on off this circuit to reprograme the key..

sorry for the very vague terms... i think it should be almost so.. any other who wish to add.?

Its sumtin which some cars hav as well... Jux dat they call it Immobiliser... U can duplicate a spare key at a few bucks... But u'll nt be able to start ur bike as it needs the presence of a chip in the black part of ur original key....

the key contains a electronic chip with have a unique set of codes.

whenever you try to start the bike, the HISS on the bike will read the chip for code. if the code matches the one programmed into the bike, the engine will start.

thats why dun even loose your HISS key, not only expensive to replace (have to go programe the new keys at boon siew) but also there is a number of keys you can replace, after that, you have to change the whole HISS on your bike.

all in the name of security....

Thanks Thanks Thanks to all my bros! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I heard about cheetah alarm for the bike. how many points are being connected to bike? how does it work? And how sensitive?

My friend suggested me to change my bike EO which become black. The previous owner seems not really care for the bike(Maybe he knew that he was going to sell away). when i change gear, I fell some rough sound coming from it. I dont really know it's normal when changing gear. First time riding bike though.

btw, mileage is 8K++ so should I change spark plug and oil filter when I change EO. which brand of EO would my bros recommand? and spark plug?

Thank you very much in advance to all my bros & sis!

if this is the first time you are servicing your bike, i suggest you change engine oil, oil filter and spark plug. air filter you can consider changing at 10,000km. the reason being, you never know how's the condition of those parts, previous owner/motordiam could have abused it for all you know (or worst scenario - given you old parts). those parts won't cost a fortune.

There is a micro chip in your key. Your Honda Ignition Security System will only recognise the signal from your key. So if some joker go and duplicate your key and some key shop and try to start your bike, your bike won't start cuz the system recognised that it is not the original key.

This is the addition precaution to prevent people from stealing your bike.

I wanna go duplicate my key, how much huh? Only at boon siew right ?
