the satay celup or some call it "luk luk" near the St. Francis Xavier church (jalan Banda Kaaba if i'm not wrong) is very fresh...the name of the shop is Capitol Satay Celup...but 1 disadvantage is, it has no parkings for bikes....

UnderTaker.... thanks for the offer to rent your bike....but itinery not confirmed as of today...might be rushing off from Genting.. when plans are more or less confirm then ask u again=p But I definately wont be the rider of ur baby.... god knows if my feet can reach the ground when i tiptoe.

 

Tweety, can you let me have the add for the backpacker's hotel juz in case? We might even juz hit malacca, look for a plc to put barang then go off to explore=)

 

So ppl, wat other plcs/food to be looking forward to in Malacca?

feiray, wah u kinda know lotsa places to eat in mlk too...

 

1. fried oyster in bunga raya: local ppl here say it sucks, so long i oni tried 1 time. not up to standard lah. malacca overall dont have a good fried oyster stall...the best i had was in thailand, the oyster size is abt the size of a 20sen coin, n the serving is so generous.

 

2. ABC in bunga raya: quite good, worth going for a try.

 

3. cendol in bukit cina: not bad too considering the cheap prices. the mee rojak also damn good.

 

4. umbai ikan bakar: very nice place worth going, famous tourist spot. prices are cheap n competitive.

 

5. capitol satay celup: not so good, but i see lotsa sporean go there eat. there is another place nearby which is better n got a lot parking places. (ong kim wee satay celup) pricing also slightly higher.

 

so u have any other places to recommend summore? maybe i can go try out 1st then can give some comments here hehe...

anyway there is a huge number of places dat offer good n cheap food here besides the places listed above.

 

pls dun flame me ya...just my 2 cents....

if on paper sure damn nice wan lor....i also not sure abt it la cos my last visit was many years back. just dat my fren went there last month he said must go in a big group of frens/family then should be ok. he went there with his gf he said not so nice lor...

no problem la pipika, abt ur plans dont worry so much la. just inform me when u need anthing in malacca. should not be a big problem i guess. if u want me to arrange places for u to go, best if u inform me earlier so i can arrange with some frens to go together. dun worry its not my baby, my fren here got do car + bike rental, the bikes r kup-kias. should not be a problem for u rite? they r good for rough use mah hehe

 

some places that u would like would be macap baru, selandar, batang melaka, kuala pilah and the list goes on. all these places r out of town, in the countryside. we normally go there by bike, car will waste too much time.

 

abt lodging, on weekends all those high end hotels r mostly fully booked. budget hotels should still be available, but gotta come here n find. should not be a problem to get a room lor. its better if come on weekdays if possible, less congestion in town.

hehe i consider not so expert liau, cos it was bikers that took me to these places when i started riding with them. still a lot of places i havent been to yet. but make sure u come with ur bike la, then will have more "kaki" here also. here if i jio ppl come out riding, sure got fren come. if ask come out by car, it only means to have kopi nearby at the most. go countryside means definitely a MUST to ride there...

eh feiray, i just found out dat bukit beruang here got a new place for ABC. its a ice shop dat offers like dunno how many kinds of ABC. i think got abt 50 types of ABC leh. so far all i tried so good....!!

thanks for your warm welcome fo sg bikers.. I 've been there with some of our kakis there couple of times mainly just for the chicken rice ball and the baba chendol.. got some frens who wrk in sg also told me abt the satay celup and good tim sum too but not being a local there roughly know the place but still uncertain I believe with your guide we will be able to explore much more places which we might not even know I think u shld know HondaSF right? He is also one of our riding kakis

np man, my pleasure knowin u. haha yeah i also forgot to mention tim sum, got a few places have it too. not bad lah. of cos u come here sure will bring u to those places where u cant find in spore wan. we locals do enjoy it a lot, so i guess u guys would like it too. hmm i do know HondaSF too, did he change to a busa oredi? dat day saw his ad wanna sell his fireblade n wanna change to busa mah. good la u guys make a trip down lor since got such good bikes, 200+km is like a small matter lah hehe...

Guess will have to be there early if we wanna to makan tim sum yah.. Any particlar month that you wouldnt be free? Will try to arrange a trip up eirther this or next month most probly on weekends or PH.

well u guys comin for a day trip or staying 1 night? if staying 1 night then can come afternoon n go back abt 7am next day, after tim sum. i will be free until late jan, except on tuesdays i have classes. others days will be ok. oh, n will have to go spore to renew insurance+ road tax + inspection. now waiting for the letter to come then will make 2 days trip to spore. besides dat nothing particular liau.

walao, HondaSF got busa so fast liau arh... :faint:

cant say abt the police not start work yet man, i got caught once for speeding at 4am somewhere near to perak. in southern are the latest so far i came across was abt 3am, near to tangkak. the tim sum here start at 5.30 like dat. the area where i stay also have tim sum liau, quite good leh.

yeah hav u tried the cendol at jonker st called No 1 Kopitiam??? its my frens mum stall. heard that Channel U or dunno wat went there b4...its a baba nyonya cendol.....too bad me havent try......

 

the norm places i know is K.L (kota laksamana), Daud behind sounthern hospital for its pari ikan and roti prata...if u dun mind the 'place' lah...

Those r the places i visit during my sch days.Brought bec some ol memories at the mention of the place...Daud roti SUCKS big time but yet dunno why my friends throng there.....maybe cos if kena food poisoning, hospital next door la hahaha...

Tht would be Puteri hang Li Poh well....nothing much there ler....its at foot of Bkt Cina beside a temple...

How to go?

When u come out from Ayer keroh, go straight all the way just like u always do when u go for Chiky rice balls...

 

Then when u see Pizza hut on the left hand side near a a big x-junction, turn left at tht junction....

 

Go straight n u will see a temple on ur left....if u miss the temple just do a U-turn at the roundabout at the front

 

Hope its easy for u..if not follow me home next time, can stay my place if u dun mind babies crying mid of nite every 3 hours

jonker cendol i got tried few times b4 this, but i dun remember which name lah..

Kota laksamana now lotsa ppl never go cos the stuff quite pricey oredi. dun really like the service either. normally i always go sultan(mlk raya)

daud i also got go quite often, cos know him quite well as a fren oredi. dat bugger also from bukit beruang leh haha...i agree his place is kinda messy n yes his roti sucks big time. dat day i went he intro to me "kashmir nan + tandoori chicken" wah knn RM8 leh. but it damn good la, first time i try n say his food is good.

nth much to see abt dat well leh...parking also cannot get. must well go for the cendol n mee rojak just after the traffic light at the cemetery there leh...
