I couldn't help but notice there are so many bikes with decorative lights fixed. Under engine, belly, mudguard etc. Seem to be very popular trend. I even came across a local site that show off all their mod lightings. I have to say it's very attractive. Maybe next Ching Gay parade some bike group could show off their bikes.

Did anyone even got caught before? Does the law take is seriously or the TP will just tell you "next time cannot ah". How much is the fine?

Btw just remember something. Few days ago afternoon around Jalan Besar area , I saw something which left me stunned ........................ I saw a motorist riding a bike, and i dunno how he could have done that, but... he fit and cover the whole bike, including his helmet with.. SUNFLOWERS! No joke guys, i really saw it squeezing past me. I was like duh, did a bunch of "SUNFLOWERS" just ride pass me?? Did anyone here saw what i saw?? Or is that "Sunflowers" guy from sbf also... Amazing..................................

Yeh. The Sunflower biker came out in the papers last year. I think he did it to get attention.

Now back to discussion on decorative lights.

The LTA's the one in charge of enforcing these disallowed modifications, not the TP. If you read Tuesday 17 April's Straits Times, LTA has been on the lookout for these recently.

Yes. You can be booked for "Excessive Lightings". If you add too many to your bike.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

Does a bulb cost $50 or does the fine cost $50?

What if you have a row of 10 LEDs on each side? 2x10x$50=$1000 fine?

And how do we define excessive? Something that makes your bike look like a X'Mas tree?

It's the cost of an extra bulb.

2 sides might cost you $100?

And how do we define excessive?

Any lightings that is added to the original ones.

Something that makes your bike look like a X'Mas tree?

Bingo... One good example is none other than Goldwings.

And in actual fact,

LTA so called "disabled" many of them just enuf for road worthy before their approval on roads...

But still, many owners still buy and fix them back...

erm.. this is more of ROV enforcement.. TP of cus also have the power to catch but who in the right mind would switch on their lights infront of a ROV/TP?

As others have said - have switched LEDs fitted, if they're for show only when parked off the road I can't see they're a problem for anyone.

I like mine because they don't drain the battery and make it real easy to find my bike in the parking area at night :-)
