Yamaha FJR1300

IMHO, these insulation can get from local seat wrap shop, no need to buy from overseas. except if we get local is not cut into shape.

 

i think actually it will heat to reduce heat transfer to petrol tank for uncomfort riding. maybe 1 of us have to be pioneer to try it out. who gotta be?

 

note: i can provide idea if any pre-06 FJR owner willing to give a try.

but got a little problem..

 

do you know on our meter there is 4 light...

 

one is neutral then the high beam then the engine oil light wat is the other light??

 

my bike when reaching singapore the light was on its the yellow colour one....

Manual p.3-2. From left to right the 4 diagnostic lights are neutral, high-beam, oil level warning, engine trouble. So yours is engine trouble. See p.3-2 for info and diagnostic step.

No, it's not coolant. The icon is that of an engine and the manual says so. It appears that it's the engine itself gone buggy, but an electrical problem with the circuits monitoring the engine. If you don't have the bike manual, that section says:

 

ENGINE TROUBLE WARNING LIGHT

This warning light comes on or flashes when an electrical circuit monitoring the engine is defective. When this occurs have the Yamaha dealer check the self-diagnosis system.

dean... when comez to electric diagnostics... go find HL... more assurance.... Meng tong wun know much of the ECU stuff... except for engine probz....

was quoted $150 from AM for the freakin tailight plastic cover~!~!~! Sure not~!~!!~

 

throttle body sensor was quoted to be $100... I tot i heard cheaper rates.. cn anyone confirm dat?

 

Side mirror cost $65 per side

 

Underseat tray/mudguard cost $60

thats pretty ex man..

last time mirror only cost $55 from them...

dunno why they raise all their prices... Even if Jap Yen go up, oso not by so much right..

Hi there deanz4,

 

I every encountered that problem as well....

 

Wonder if the situation is same as mine.

 

Was also on a long trip back while in hot weather...

when there is a sudden change in weather (started to rain), thats where the time the yellow colour lights comes...

 

From what i understand is that the oxygen in take has changed due to the weather.

Thats why this "engine trouble" lights come along.

 

This problem happened again after the same thing happen.. hot weather then sudden rain..

 

Basically it did not cause much effect.. after the rain is over and the weather turns normal... the light goes off..

ya man its true i call Hl they say its the throttle positioning sensor.. throttle thingy ... den after i ride now its fine oredi.... its due to the super heavy rain when g up the other time...

 

now another problem... the wheel having squeeking sound.... neede to go see bike shop but dont wanna go loois as they are super busy...

 

 

so guys can anyone recommend a reliable shop pleaseeeeee!!!!!!

 

im goin this thurs day... recommend please.....maybe wanna changed brake pad and maybe service my wheel bearing too

my wheel has the same problem.. didnt really care abt it.. but when i step on my rear barke the sound goes off... so i tot it might be the brake pads probss...

 

Maybe you check already let me know bah...

 

If you want to try other bike shop maybe you can try eddie ong motor at ang mo kio.. A guy name ah hai used to ride FJR.. so maybe you can ask him...

Anyway his new T Max (Chili Padi) is fast in mersing corner..

 

 

Let's plan for a Sunday Bak Kut Teh ride in Muar soon. Travelling only on NSHW exit Pagoh, 20km more reach liao.. and FJriders tried that before.. Yummy..

Not here yet.

Shop is still hopeful that it will be here end of this week.

Even you take bus or hitch hike are most welcome.. what the heck, I might just pillion you.. ha ha just joking.

 

Any way, it's a straight forward ride.. the difference between riding fast or riding slow is only less than 3 mins. All bikes are welcome.
