:cheeky: Another question - Does the front light buld blow very often? Or is it due to me having a headlight switch? This switch tends to get hot whenever it's turn on. Anyone experiencing the same?

casper, not tough lah... the LHS bulb is easier to get to than the RHS. I changed it the first time without removing the panels (but RHS should do so). As per omnislash good instructions, the black rubber cap is quite tight so don't be afraid to pull hard on it.

Any of you upgraded your horns? Here's a pic I took while installing the Magnum Blasters on my bike. This is on sale for $18 at AutoBacs for a pair, including the relay. Great deal for the FJR1300. Now the horns sound like a BMW car - more appropriate for this big bike and much better on the highway.

I got oil filter $18 and air filter $40 from Regina

Cost of Self-Service :

1.) 4btls of Full-Syn - $18x4 = $72

2.) Shaft oil - $10 (used 4-5times per botl)

3.) Oil Filter - $17

Total = $89 tentatively per service

Neva realli like the feel of semi-syn oil.... dun tink wud wana compromise on the condition of the engine by saving on the oil or filters lahh.. though.. can get cheaper rates better lahh~

Comics00 : did u return frm msia via 2nd link on Sunday ard 3pm+?? saw a '06 blue FJR with black riding jacket coming back on opp. lane when im goin for a quick petrol run...

bro its tru that its not wise to save a few bucks and comprimise our babe.

So i nv believe in using other stuff instead of the original.. but my bike have been running on the fully syn till recently i feel that the longer i ride with my old engine oil i feel the bike seems more powerful and smoother.

So now i decided to use semi syn and after it catch up a few millege i feel it is more powerfull. stick to it now.. maybe my bike have reach that age whereby semi syn is enough as it is a thicker mix..

maybe the riders riding fjr wth more then 50km could confirm this???

I have to cut off a bit of the black panels when i install it there.. Did you?

Another FJRian Capi install it near the bottom of the radiator. That way, you dun need to cut anything... But how loud is that, i dunno...

Tx for AM Info.

I find the stock horns not loud enough on the highway. Some cars don't notice me even when I horn them. With the Magnum's it's better and the sound is better. Not a quick job to install though.

Omnislash, yes I replaced the original horns so had to cut away the black plastic on the inside of the fairing. The bright red looks quite cool peeking out underneath the fairing...
