Its an extension of the fender, as the name suggest... For FJR, its usually places at the rear of the FRONT fender.. This is to protect the radiator and fairing from stones...

There's currently two brands overseas.. One requires drilling holes on the fender to mount the extension. The other need not but uses strong adhesive to stick it to the underside of the fender..

Personally, I prefer drilling holes.. Using adhesive would mean its permanantly stuck there.. Removing it might leave unpleasant residue.. JUst my POV...

Do a search on ebay.. U'll see bikingdirect is selling at 19.95+3.95 (shipping) pounds which is about SD$73... Maybe Alvin can get it at a much cheaper rate..

This is the one from Dandy industries... Selling at 29... I think in USD.. $4 for shipping..(think international) After converting about SD$56...

This one does not require fasterners but uses ABS cement to stick permanantly..

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?

Went to check out today. Beautiful!

But asking price is $25k!

Isn't that too high for a pre-owned bike? (granted that there are accessories installed)

Thot a new one cost about $26k.

Was thinking of offering max $20k but held back since the gap is big from the asking price.

Good day to all FJR1300 riders in S'pore!

I would like to share with you all, my ordeal in my recent tyre change

I've just renewed my set of tyre to the roadtec z6. Unfortunately,I suffered problems ranging of incorrect installation, scretched rim and most importantly, wrong tyre.

METZELER have specified the 'B' version of the z6 to be used on the FJR1300.

Upon checking with JR the importer, they agree there is a 'B' for the FJR. But they do not import any in. Further checking with other tyre brands, none know about the specifed version for the FJR. All they commend is all can be used.

With the wrong tyre. means it will affect your safety and also voiding all those expensive insurance you all pay, including the PA insurance.

I would appeal to all FJR riders to pressure all these tyre importers to do their job, in bring in the correct tyres for the FJR1300.

Have a nice weekend to all!

My opinion.

New bike i think the best price u can get is $26.5+k (with 1/2 road tax & not inclusive of insurance). Anything lower than that, i think they are selling you at a loss I did view the bike last week, it not difference from new bike apart unless u mind the 1000k mileage and being second name of the log card. So at price at 25k minus 2 1/2 mth road tax, u still able to save up around 1k provided you can secure a gd refinance deal.

Another thing is the initial run-in process of the bike. It a risk to take if you going to buy the bike as you are not sure how the previous owner run-in the bike.

If the deal can set around 24k, i think it a more attractive deal. And btw there aren't acessories on the bike rite, fully stocked!

I dun quite get the meaning of version. I never used a Z6 before as i read from FJR forum that it doesnlt work as well as they claimed.

Been using bridgestone 020R for both front and rear. It is 120/70 z-rated 58W on the front and 180/55 z-rated 73W on the rear which is the same as what my manual recommand. Another OEM tyre are Metzeler MEZ4J. Apart from these spec? Is there another so-called version to this tyre? Please clear my doubt.

Thanks.
