But how much does the flush signal light cost? Are they integrated to the fairing?

My 02 signals dun look too ex.. If it were really to fail during a fall, i guess it wont cost me too much to replace... Another thing is 02 signals flex when they are bent.. I dropped my bike twice and once, the signal light sort of bent "in" but can easily be pulled out...

My signal lights were integrated into the fairings therefor I belief if they are damaged badly, will have no choice but to replace the fairings.

However, the handle bar ends (after market long type) can provides some form of protection if the bike falls over on the sides. But I will definately be on a look out for a longer slider in the future.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Was quoted an all in price of $25,900 inclusive of the following:

6-mth road tax

1-yr 2nd-party insurance (>31 yrs old)

COE

Registration fee

IU transafer (this one is tricky)

GST

No more other charges like agreement fee or whatsoever.

I traded-in my existing NT650 (FT plate) for $7,000 and topped-up $8,000.

Loan amount is $10,900 over 3 years for 4% flat (No rebate if redeem loan prematurely).

That means $339.15 monthly installments.

However, I misunderstood what IU transfer meant. I thought it meant to transfer my existing IU on my NT650 to the new bike and did not clarify. What it actually meant was the shop will look for a vehicle due for scraping and transfer the IU to the new vehicle. I didn't like the idea so topped up $153 for a new IU.

Thus all in would be $25,900 + $153 = $26,053 (inclusive of GST).

BTW, i was bargaining for an all in price of $25,888 but they didn't budge for $12 less.

We change bike for the next trip???

But dun worry, I wont Psycho U one.

BTW, I met uncle Lim a couple of times at the shop. He upgraded a 2002 FJR to a 2005 FJR. If any of your friends looking for pre-owned FJR, tell them to quickly check it out at New Southern Motor. The 2002 bike got nice no plate "F19?". So think have to add premium for the no plate. Aiya, anyway you not interested one lah hor?

All those figures are mind boggling. Enough to get a 2nd hand car liao.

Anyway that's the spirit of riding!

I reckon there will be many mini mod projects coming along for your FJR right?

I'm not a mod person. Jus added a volt-meter.

May need to change grip and balancers.

Sliders seem practical but looks kind of weird sticking out?

Nothing else in mind yet. But I'm open minded.

So if i see good mod or accessories on fellow bikers' rides, will consider.

Brand new IU costs $150 inc GST and installation... you save them the trouble of giving you an old one and then top up $153?

Was at Souther yesterday but the guy said that the plate does not come with the bike and the bike itself is going for $21,500. Think it is too high for a 1.5 year old bike.

A new bike now cost $26,300 after less without IU from Southern. Anyone know a better price for the bike ? Looi's selling them for at least $27plus .
