pelican box? how it looks like? how much is it?

The case looks something like this. Diff sizes and colours are avaliable.

If i'm not wrong these boxes are abt 100$ for this size. But these cases are

Watertight, crushproof, and dust proof.

I used to use Pilot Road 1. They lasted me 20,000 km on a few occasions. But the cornering so-so. Den I switched to Pilot Sport with HPX for the rear. Nimble cornering and managed to last me 17,000km on 2 occasions. Den came Pilot Road 2. The cornering is slightly slower but this gives more control and at 20,000km, the thread still has maybe 30% left. I had a mended hole that started to leak so had to replace even though it can still go.

Rmb the time we were discussing batteries. I had to replace my fwd stay (fwd mount bracket for the tacho, windshield motor and mirrors) due to a freak accident I told you all about a while ago. With all the cowlings gone, I thought I might as well take the battery out to charge cuz its pretty much dying. Then I took out the rest of my batts cuz i rmb we were discussing bout the country of manufacture and such. Below is the pic.

The 2 on the left are the oldest.

The one that came with the bike - March 2003 (6.5 years old)

The second one - June 2005 (4 years old)

The one that is being charged - Feb 2007 (2.5 years old)

The rightmost - Feb 2009 (half year old)

As I've told you all, the newest one is bought because I have a stator coil failure. Now keeping it as spare. But surprisingly, the 4 years old battery is keeping a charge at 13.0 V after months without touching it.

And well, only the last is made in Taiwan. The rest all in Japan, in contrary to my former believe that all the new prints are made in taiwan.

For some of you whose windshield got jerky movements or produces rattling sound, the ball screw the the culprit. Sprayed some GT85 and good as new.
