anyway, can the post 06 fjr mirrors be folded back like the previous gen ones? i notice there's a screw/nut under the arm of the mirror. it that fixed, or foldable?

 

 

YES its foldable.. both in and outwards but not all the way moreover its super tight.

Brought my EBC brake pads from Ah Lai motroshop at kallang. The same vicinity with Lim Ah Boy workshop. I have little or no knowledge on mechanical stuff, so i had it changed there and installed by the mechanic.

 

1 pack has 4 brake pads and cost $80 per pack. so it's $160 for two front calipers(which consist of 2 pack of 8 brake pads).

 

Is it a good price? This is the first time i changed a brake pad anyway.

 

bro just now followed my bro change his brakepads kat #02-52 autobay@kaki bukit, $75 per pack. so...heh...unless e pads you bought is extra absorbant with longer wings lah...

 

and this makes changing pads look bloody easy man. havent tried yet though...

 

Bro, just curious so did u change both ur front and rear pads to EBC??

Ur bike is an ABS or non-ABS model?

if YES, won't it affect the ABS?

foldable, but must loosen the nut first right? or is it like the older gen mirrors which can be folded easily? coz i normally canvas my bike at night lah..folded in mirrors are more convenient..thinking of changing to the new gen mirrors..nicer ah..

front brake pads are really damn easy to change. the long nose pliers make a hack of a difference.l

wat has brakes got to do with the ABS? its 2 different things.

brakes = is to help u slow down.

ABS = Anti Brake-lock System.

 

That's not exactly wat i meant eerrr.... i dun know how to put it in words lah.

wah!! That's $5 cheaper. It's an ordinary EBC brake pad. No wings or whatsoever. But just now when braking, tapping only, the brake pads shakes. Dunno if my disc brake has warped or the brake pads are faulty.

 

Scary man. Travelling at avg speeds of 180km/h and worried the brake just jam by itself. But come to think of it, FJR has ABS. So less likely will do an endow/stoppie...
