Seriously considering. Depends on the outcome of the diagnose from Hong Leong. If its gonna cost me a bomb for riding just a year..I seriously doubt the reliability of the product and brand.

come dec i will be quite free..lets go see bike..LOL

actually what really happen?

Bro, not sure, once the temperature goes above 4 bar, I can't throttle anymore and engine will die off after irregular rpm. Very strange, HL informed first case, so need more time to check. Riding a Honda wave now..so fun and easy to zip around..but very unstable along expressway. Also will kena bully by some f$&@ drivers..

You can always service at the shop where u bought ya? My experience, don't treat your bike like a prostitute and let too many mechanics touch. Either the shop you frequent and trust or Agent. That's the best I guess.

Wah kao..mine can half boiled the eggs. U guys I think..hmmm hard boiled? Haha

Can always installed fans with more blades too cool off faster. Or better to install 2 fans(kiasu).

Our old birds here use to encounter engine cut off before, while riding at expressway 1st lane!! Luckily he manage to manoeuvre to shoulder just in time.

His mech said his engine on/off switch rainwater seeps in..so it short the circuit.

Dear all bros,

I really dont know what happen to my bike....no news from Hong Leong today.

Basically, when the temperature reach 4 bars...u throttle, the bike start to jerk then no petrol comes in..then die....crank again...throttle abit then die again, until when you crank and totally cannot fire up...

Hi Bro Andrew,

Most of the riders in the forum faced no electric supply, but as for my, everything working normal, only that when you wanna throttle the bike just went dead...sometimes it fire up, rpm rev erractically up and down then died....SIAN! still no news from HL about my bike....one of its kind problem I guess...

Dear all,

Good news, HL finally found whats the fault to my bike, culprit is the fuel pump.

Bad news, HL informed that it may takes 3-4 weeks for replacement.

I cannot imagine there is no spare part available and I need to wait for almost a month for the part arrival.

I vowed never to own a Yamaha anymore. Expensive bike used only a year and need to wait for spare part for 1 month. This is really absurd!

Is this how HL do things? Really wonders...

Take it easy bro. No point getting a heart attack over it. Sometimes we get a lemon case even when it is a high end product (remember the beemer case a few years back). About the unavailable stock for fuel pump at HL, maybe you should write to Yamaha Japan about it. I think the dealer now is getting real slack here considering the number of FJRs on singapore roads (maybe can take over Yamaha distribution in singapore also. I think we can do better job! haha)

i think in the list anot not important.as recently theres a recall from japan itself for certain YOM- years of manufacture for the grounding issue.and HL is doing it.i kena.those who went will have a dot punch beside their chassis number.
