Hong Leong is now bringing in the FJR1300AE. Essentially, it's the ABS model with ESA...similar to the US ES model. Colours are Black or Bronze. Red is the US model.

Accident date/time: 16th September 0800hrs ~ 0815hrs.

 

Accident site: Jurong Pier Road towards Jln Boon Lay turning right junction towards AYE direction.

 

Biker was riding along Jurong Pier Road towards Jln Boon Lay turning right junction towards AYE direction head-on with the saloon car. Biker is still sedated in NUH with a blood clot, left rib bones fractured & punctured lung, left femur & collar bone fractured. Please help biker family to seek for all witnesses including those who stopped & rendered help. Thank you.

My 2010 FJR start switch sometimes cannot starts, when pressed, it just give the 'click' sound. But it starts after a few random tries.

I checked the battery is fine, and suspect is the start relay or dirty contact. Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

Do you have a reliable workshop that service FJR to recommend? Thank you very much.

Ah Beng at BIKEWORKZ does a good job with FJRs. Only that you need to do a bit of waiting coz a lot of bikes comes to his shop.

What are major diff in GEN 1 and GEN 2 FJRs? I also heard of the heat issues directed to the riders legs when the radiator fan is on.

Hi & good day to Fjrian riders !

 

Currently, I'm riding a pearl white FJR1300 just took over for about 3mths. I have found out that the air filter is in blue in colour & should be a after market stock.

I have cleaned it & not sure to apply oil (K&N oil spray bottle) on it or just leave as it is.

I can't clearly see what brand is the air filter but any feedback are most welcome.

Thank you. I managed to get it fixed during my regular servicing at Hong Leong. I think it is the relay starter that needed to be replaced. Cost $59.
