Hi pple

Notice more and more drivers wearing them. Is it legal? Though hands free, but can they concentrate well? Feels like technology very good at using legal loopholes.

according to the law, any ear piece(wired or wireless is legal) as but so if even thou you are wearing or using one .. but still you hold on to your phone. its still against the law..

In short,

Allow to use so long that you don't hold it in either of your hands...

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

My main concern is whether the drivers can actually when driving. This is diff from music where they might end up in a heated argument. Sure, no hand, but guarantee safe?

well...i have worn them for 6 years while driving...a few times with a TP standing right beside me at a road block....nothing has happened to me...

if they cant even accept that...i think they should ban radio and anything that creates a sound 50db or more..not to mention LCD monitors...

its fine..dont worry...

Don't mess with old farts. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.

Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Legal wise, a few have mentioned.

Its up to the individual to pull off their vehicle to the side road if need be, or necessary to 'concentrate' more to the other party in a lenghty discussion. I believed those sharp n short conversation will get the driver concentrate on the road at the same time.

It doesn't matter how good your bike is, but how long you can ride it

Performance doesn't lie on the bike, it boost when the ego broke!!

It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...winning's winning..

Unfortunately, statistically, the accident rate for drivers using the phone or the headset is the same. Both requires attention to be taken off the road to speak to the other party. And i do feel that its more of a legal loophole here. since singapore law requires the driver to be handling the phone while hes on the road to be considered an offence.

Just stay clear of them.

All right. How about speaking to your passenger then?

That's a good one...

This whole problem with mobile phones is not "hands free", it is "brain free". Some people talking on the phone are sol totally divorced from reality about what is going on around them that they are worse then drunks. Having a blue tooth stuck in your ear doesn't help this one bit.

watever it is, it is still a hell lot safer than 2 bikers on different bikes riding on the expressway talking to each other by riding near to each other.

whether you will be distracted or not, varies from person to person, imo.

an attractive female walking can even distract a male driver enuff to cause an accident too, and vice versa (but unlikely)...

well anything can distract a driver.. like what madman mentioned.. seeing a babe walking down the street.. causing this vehicle to ram into the rear of another vehicle.. IT DID HAPPENED BEFORE! FYI.. sms also considered handphone driving as it is also a form of communication.

i tink its legal. BUT if u got into an accident b'coz of that, TP can still charge u for using hp while riding.

Similar to drink driving where ur alcohol level may still be within the acceptable limit but if u got into an accident, u will still be charged drink-driving.
