i only got it for 6 months, so far so good, no prob as the bike is well maintained.

wun discolour as long as u wash it often

 

space is reasonably ok, enough to put a rain coat set, tool set, tyre repair kit, owners manual, bicycle pump, tyre pressure guage, FAD and a PCIII.

luggage system only H&B gas it, can get at BT21 or the other shop at McPherson

aftermarket screens or headlight protectors or sliders can get from BT21

 

however if u go to the US zed forum, u can get a lot of other parts online. ebay also has lots of good deals... shipping wise, send via vpost USA, its cheaper.

Anyone else here riding a Z1000? Mine is an orange 2003 model and currently the only accessories I've purchased are a PUIG aftermarket touring screen and a Huge Industries fender eliminator kit.

 

I've had the bike on the track (PG) only once so far and so far so good. Have to admit that I took it very easily though as I didn't want to risky dropping it and scratching up the shocking orange paintwork.

 

As for riding at speed the fastest I've had the bike is 235km/h and the wind blast is a killer over 200km/h with the standard screen which is why I got the PUIG unit. (yet to test that out though).

 

I'd love to know what other modifications other have done to their bikes and how pleased they are with the results. I'm considering getting the 4-1 Micron system but sadly it's not street legal so that fact alone is holding me back. The other item I'm seriously considering if I keep the bike is a Corbin aftermarket seat because the standard unit isn't very comfy on long rides and I only ride in Malaysia on weekends so most rides are a minimum 2-300km.

 

The bike currently has just under 5000km on it and every km I've done has been a joy.
