I had a feeling that was the reason... But I happy with my current idling speed of approximately 800rpm when it's warmed up.. It used to be at 1k rpm.. but I find that the engine heats up very fast and it's a bit too noisy for my liking..

So what rpm do u guys keep to?

Mine is 1000 rpm, engine heat never exceed 105 deg even in traffic jam under hot sun. :thumb:

May be the type of coolant also affect the temperature of the engine.

Yah.. the vibration is normal for z1000.. Mine starts vibrating noticably once i hit 5k rpm... n my erp unit cover starts vibrating nosily as well.. :giddy: the noise is kinda annoying.. Makes me feel like i'm torturing the bike, n it's only 5k rpm!! u guys have any idea on how i can get rid of that noise? Would a erp cover helps..?

My ERP cap so far never give that annoying sound as long as I cover the cap properly, ERP cover is good but remember to take out when you park the Zed, people with itching hands will steal it :goodluck:

Wah, seem like lots of defects leh, but I still in love with the Zed, muack muack :lovestruck:

Mine is a notch below the 1k mark, so shd be abt 900-800rpm. I used to hav it at 1k, but adjust it down, same reason as urs.

Great! I will have a look at various type of coolant, but by mixing the different types of coolant will harm the cooling system?

Cause I am still using the origin Coolant top up by Looi's Motor, but I may buy another brand of coolant to top up...

if want to use diff coolant, adviseable to do coolant flush n use new coolant...

not adviseable to mix n match other coolant with other coolant, might do more harm than good..

whether got harm cooling system, me not sure..

Thanks, I better ask the bike shop what coolant they are using on my Zed, so that I will top up with the same too, or do a coolant flush then replace with a better option.. :thumb:

Where can do a coolant flush? Expensive or not?
