Many years back i remember a 2b bike that is shaft driven, anyone knows what model is that? Or is it a 2a that I remembered wrongly?

Might be 2A bike. For 2B cruisers, the power isn't enough. If have shaft drive, the power efficiency might drop even further 10%. Chain drive is basically used because it's easy to service and also power efficiency is 90%, compared to 80% for shaft drive. I also do wish that there's shaft driven 2B cruisers in the future.

Shaft drive is also heavy. Probably might make up to 8% of the bike :giddy:

If they change the gear ratio of the 2B cruiser, it's possible to have it. It's my theory. I'm sure the technology is there

Actually likely is the cost. it is cheaper to use chains than shaft.

Just ask urself, how much u willing to pay for a below 200cc bike, 15-20K for shaft driven with lower hp or 8-10K for a chain-driven with better hp?

That's true. Cost will be more, unless the bike has other benefits, might be hard to sell
