Had this front brake jerking prob since few mths ago...

1st time i went planet, chong showed mi its my brake disc 1 side a bit dented...

So he send both front discs for pressing and sanding...

Come back result not veri good, he charge mi cost price onli...

Yesterday went back to him again, wanted to seek for advise on the prob...

He sugested to try pressing and sandin again...

But this time round, he volunteer not to charge mi if the prob is not solved...

If solved onli need to give him $50...

When done, he tried my bike and his conclusion is braking is better, but not totally solved, not ideal enough...

Thus he did not charge mi a single cent at all...

I have to salute him :thumb:

He works wit ethics, not like some shops tat would onli help u solve but if its not solved, not their prob...

I have recommended him a beauty consultant.

wah piangz, i laugh til i :faint: when i read this.

but u sibei bad to say ah chong lydat leh,

we all know he got very 'gao xiao' look, but dun be so discriminating of other's looks leh.

he's a really great person, recently i was really suay, rear tyre kena spiked twice plus fried my batt and rectifier, all within 1 month.

i was really pathetic then, had to tow bike cos batt totally flat, but i had no cash to pay the tow guy (bikebulance). ah chong willingly and promptly lent me cash and charged it to my nets payment later.

i was quite sianz while waiting for the new batt, kept thinking that it was the 3rd time in 1 mth my bike came to planet for repairs liao, chong saw me so sad, tried to cheer me up, said i dun have 'suay been' so the bad luck wouldnt stay.

b4 i left, he reassured me tt my problems considered small case liao, and tt old bikes like mine (ver s) sure prone to problems one. see me poor student so gave me some discounts, even offered warranty for the new rect.

man, which other motortiam got such personal touch? :thumb:

yah, ver S quite jialat when comes to wear & tear. once come, everyting also come, there was a time i need to visit him every mth

wah, every mth? minor repairs issit? Thankfully i took over a well maintain ver S. at least it had no engine prob for me, the suay thing is being spiked lah, can happen on any bike.

The rect and batt prob oso my own fault, i know they are old liao, intended to tong and change them in Dec. they were working ok leh, but who wld expect that they die out on me after i left my bike untouched for a week(chionging my essays).

The batt and rect were real old man, Chong told me the rect was an obsolete model (not even in production liao!) and the batt's was even 'mouldy' liao. I already used them for >yr since i got the bike, imagine how much mileage the prev owner squeezed out of them.

So if not for the fact that i sort of neglected my reg maintainance, the bike is really damn reliable.

how come dnt need tunning?

I rode SP for 30 months and didn't really tune anything.

Well, I use that bike 60km everyday for transport only. Mileage is quite high, but mostly problem free.

Mostly wear and tear of comon parts, wash carbs once in a while. Didn't really tune anything.
