look at buying the new suspension as an investment.

i am nt sure the price for rebuilt. let say is $250....

built liao 2 mth later... another $250

nbz might as well buy the new one. i shld have listen to ppl advise...

now the suspension is at a super low for that MOQ. remember the normal price cost $750-$800++

cheers make your choice.

i agree with bro quize.... save $$$ in the long run and Bitubo is re-buildable.

don't think Showa is recommended to be re-build...my 2cents worth... :goodluck:

yah.. thanks for your advice bros.. mayb i'll go back to the bike shop and see what they say.. juz give it a try.. if cannot, l.l. muz save up money for a new suspension...

bro u showa still can be use just send it to bikelab 4 servicing, worth every cent.

my friend get it serv last 1year+ & is still in good condition..the shop do a professional job & u can see how they do it Or 2 to say the person doing it (joshua)..

it's around $200-$250....but before u get it service ask the guy to check ur suspension 1st b4 takin it out....because some of the suspension is beyond repair...

then it's wise 4 u to get a new 1 like the bitubo....

cheers.....

got nothing to do wif ur rear suspension.

service ur front fork, bikelab recommended... but if ur tight with cash normal bikeshop will do...cost range from $70 and above depends wad oil u use t, viscosity of ur fork oil. also...DONT lower ur fork setting. keep it original. if ver s u can adjust the damping of ur fork. my suggestion is all base on personal experience and my weight same as urs too. dis prob is a solution to those normal hump not like those jb humps. k bro take care n happy riding. s4 i a damn gd 400cc bike.

hi, my also the top rubber broken... go ask the bike shop he say if not leaking then never mind...

and if u just want the change the rubber only, the workmanship is the same as the whole fork must be taken out...

but maybe u see anyone who change only the seal cos i service the whole fork.. :cheeky:

:goodluck:

Just to share my experience. I did not service my suspension until it leaks. The mech has a hard time taking out the rubber seal n ring.

After less than a year, it leaks again, this time I went to Bike Lab to service. Joshua said the fork was slightly scratch (I suspect it due to the previous mech trying to take out the rubber seal, he was not as delicate as Joshua), so he tried to sand down the scratch. He then said that if it leaks again then have to change the fork which cost abt $200.

My advise is to change the seal before it gets stuck in the suspension. And regular maintenance guide is to change the fork oil yearly. If you have not done so, well....

HUh?? oh ... ok ...

Anyway i got it fixed today at the price of 18 dollar aside...

How much you guys paid for servicing the whole fork plus change oil??

Mine no oil come out leh ..... anyway to check? scared last time leak liao then never notice...... cos mine fork soft soft leh ....

Change oil will be harder???

Do it at bike lab loh. Fix mine 2 years ago. no problem. Skill not bad.

Please make appointment before going down as some time he dun have the time. Will need at least 1 hour. But good can chat with him and see him do it. Price to pay: $140 that time. Now dun know.

What will happen if dun want to service fork. Maybe wobble easily due to lack of oil. So do go get it done.
