ya.. i had to agree to wat u say...

normally ppl will say.. with the amount spent on one normal mv f4 1000 s, u can do lotsa mod on the power jap 1 litre bikes.. which may even out perform the stock mv with even lesser den the price u get to pay...

but they will never come close to how a mv feel.. dats for sure...

i still remember a german dude used to rode r1.. and took some time to decide for a used mv f4 750... after he got one... he din regret.. feeling is different.. soul shd be the word..

if i had really more spare cash.. i will settle one instead of a car.. dats one of my dream to try a duke and mv...

art = mv.. duke bcomes more of performance bike now.. but still one of the best twin ard... :lovestruck:

well i guess ducati is more marketed than mv.

In terms of even track performance, ducati has fallen far behind MV.

The 999R is more track oriented but in a straight line wont be able to hold up to the brute that is the MV.

MV had about 20hp more.

999R 139bhp

1000S 166 bhp

2004 model year - official figures at crank

someone dyno'd a 2005 999R which gave about 134 bhp at rear wheel

MV has gobs of power so it would obliterate a lot of bikes in a straight line.

ya... dats the fact i suppose.. we just have to wait for mv to race in sbk to prove their bike competency...

as told by alot of ppl, mv need to rev hard to produce the power as compared to most jap 1 litre bikes... had read some old mag stating the pick up time to reach the certain speed mv is not really the best.. they are more to handling and top end ting...

i choose mv and duke maybe bcos mv = italy best il4 and duke = italy best twin!!

when you say you need to rev hard on MV

It only applys to the normal 750 that we have here in sg.

The rest of the bike like SPR, AGO, Tambo, Senna, R,S are smooth on the Throttle.

Like i say you need to change the midpipe and also the ECU to solve the problem if you face one

BTW dont rely and believe too much on MAg as most of them favour jap and other bikes.

MV is never on their list .... they will always compare and say that others is better

but in actual facts its the opposite

hi ayuluv,

You can can pick up a lot of tips from http://mvagusta.net

As for support for local... It's very hard to find a proper mech and parts.. really.

Cheers!

Vince,

Sporting Motor has done a fantastic job being the dealer of MV here.

And they have tech mech who are specialise only in MVs.

The only problem with the parts is time where by not all parts are available on stock.

you might need to order for few items.

well changing to whole system is of coz the best but the mid pipe is a yes and a must for me as the catalyst is doing lots of restriction on the mid pipe causing the bike to overheat at certain countries.

as for the parts issue i have replied to Vince earlier on.

Nah.... Sporting is the main Dealer for MV but of coz Joe use MAh's place to show room the bike.

As i have said ... he dont have stock parts for you but he can get them for u with ease.

I really hope Mah wont take MV... they will trash Mv reputation like the same they did for Aprillia.

Value drop like crazy coz Mah dont know how to market bike. Only know how to sell and make money from ppl.

Well i think ur confused. Sporting is a sub of Mah. It is still under Mah but under Joe's management. He has done fantastic job so far for Mv.

Parts wise that depends but he is still sole agent for some items like Ohlin, Mich tires, Some exhaust brand and others.

So it depends on the product ur looking for. i think for cagiva it might be Mah handling but not Mv as it has been under Joe all this while and he knows ppl all over the world of MV world

There are lots of collectors in singapore but they are just low profile..

if theres so much problem and no support would you think they go to extend to purchase a Tamburini, Senna, Motorcorse

You be surprise with the number of Mv's in singapore

Its not the matter of price .... its the matter of different class .... simply like Maserati, Lambo and Ferari.

You can never compare this performace to Like of Honda Celica, Evo, WRX and etc.

When u feel the bike, you will beg, borrow and do anything to own this bike.
