Nowadays i saw riders from all the fastfood mention using their own bike. I wonder if anything is to happen to the rider or the bike, will the company be responsible for it? eg. accident, bike spoilt, bike lost during delivery etc. I do know that the fuel can be claimed but that is besides the point.

now is different already, as Pizza Hut n KFC is spilt between the two n KFC now have their own rider sending their own order so will not have much delay.....

I believed that is the reason why they pay more for riders using their own bikes, the riders have to claim from their own insurance and such, not the company. They pay riders abit more but they gain by not having to lease the bikes and paying for the insurance.

But i believed the riders are still covered under workmen compensation.

but one qns is that our norm insurance actually do not cover for bikes that is being use for delivery purposes. It is stated in the policy itself. But as far as i know, Mc riders are not req'd to buy the special type of insurance that will cover delivery trips during mi time. Thus i'm wondering if riders really get into accident, are they nt cover by the norm insurance they have due to its clause stated that no delivery allowed?

btw i saw kfc ad on the newspaper that riders can earn up to $7/hr dunno got tok kok or not.

Also, i heard that for kfc, only lao jiao will get the change to use the kfc bikes, newbie must use their own bikes. To use their own bike, must pay $200 to either mount the kind of big box on their bikes or for insurance, this i not too sure.
