cost ard $195

 

or get a plain black and go attach wings to it. but do they noe the cutting of the wing?

 

or get a tank bra with wings then go redo the wings to my desired color

recently i went to auntie shop to ask about modifying my wings..

 

i bought mine from motoworld with silver wings..

intended to change my super4 outlook..

so i ask her if it was possible to remove the wings, and change it to a different colour..

she said it was possible, but very troublesome..

furthermore there is no guarantee that it would not damage ur bra..

so she said she wouldn't do it..

 

but for plain black to sew the wings, i dunno if she is willing..

but i personally think that it is better to order from motoworld so u can choose ur own desired design, rather than u bought n modify n found it is not up to ur standard..

 

this is just my point of view..

Go to 219 . Think they provide this service . But dont bring plain Bra la , hard to make e wings . You bring those bra with wings least its easier for them to duplicate the wing to ur desire colours den sew back again ...Seen alot of pple done that .

219 can do it . $40 i think.

u can get a 2nd hand bra of any colour wings and bring to 219 tp do it. if not customise from motorowlrd lor.

 

motorowlrd now got new colour scheme. grey base with black wings. $150.

My Personal Experience

 

I am currently using 3M Leather Polish with Lemon Scent. Bought at Giant (JB). My bra is one of the earlier models with the word CB onli and no wings. So roughly its about 2 yrs plus 3 yrs old. And it is till nice and leathery.

 

My polish frequency is about 1 mth once onli. Leather need to be cleaned and protected and water alone is not enough. If cared properly, can last quite long.

Personally,

 

jus usuing any leather polisher will do ...use a clean cloth and clean the tank bra .......it will maintain it ...esp if it's exposed to the elements all the time

personal point of view is u order from motoworld the colour u wan. all u do is wait n no need to bring around n redo the wings. price wise shd b the same as the rest which is $150? hassle free i shd say... n they do swee swee for u...

armor all protectant... good for leather n plastics... can bring ur matt black topcase back to life with shine.

 

n oso can b used as a cleaning agent... ie. cleaning of rims or dirty swing arm...

bro, think i also lazy to bring here n there add up to almost same price, just wait for motoworld. after all life is a waiting game. done nt on my bike yet haha, still the same 1 as it is 3months ago when u last saw it.

PB1 by itself

 

VER R and S are the same

 

Vtec spec I, II or III fits all vtec model.

 

so for PB1 is different from Ver R/S and diff from Spec I, II & III

i met the same problem when i got my tank bra last year and guess what i did...

 

I just simply used a straw!! those for drinking water....becos of the flexibility of the straw, its very easy to jus bend it to fit into the groves directly. despite it's flexibility, the strap will not be able to wedge itself out anymore as the straw's strength is reinforced by the clip itself .

 

to all the bros, this is the cheapest way : just dun throw the straw away after u finish ur drinks, reuse it .!! environmentally frenly somemore ...

 

reminder: do not cut the straw along it's length, instead , just cut the straw to the exact lenght of the clip .next, jus bend the straw and fit the 2 openings of the straw thru the two edges of the clip (that forms the gap) and then straighten the straw.....

 

hope this thread helps....also , i realise that the strap will lose it's tensile strength as it's near the engine...so be kind to it, spray some armor all on the strap when u wash the bike ...or u can op for silicon lubricant spray (those used for diving that are used to maintain rubber and plastics) , this will prolong the life .....

i forgot to add: the last time ard we were all talking about how to protect and beautify tank bra..

 

got a cheap solution and easy to apply somemore ...

 

WAXCO leather shine...think less than $5. been usin it on my tank bra and it is still as nice ............

 

DIY TIME: remember those sponge that are used for cleaning ur plates, dun throw them away...dry them and then use them as applicator for the leather shine.....using a sponge is better in that sense that the area of coverage is more even out and also, it applies easily . however, once in awhile, use a cloth to really wipe hard with clean water or mild soap, this will dislodge the dirt ....
