Good bike for newbie?

I was thinking of taking a class 2b and getting my own transport (sick of relying on public transport), and was wondering what kind of bikes would be suitable for a novice rider. I got some questions:

1. Best fuel consumpton/ economy? Going to JB is not an option since i don't know the roads, and i stay in Hougang which is kinda far.

2. As I am small sized, will this be a problem when controlling the bike (I'm 1.6m, and too shy to share my weight!)?

sorry if this is the wrong section to post in, so many sections..

I want to be a rider!

Hope to get 'free' 2b in NS!

CBR125R, NSR125, NSR150SP YamahaSparkz135.. Maybe even Phantom TA200?WOOOOOO!

*drools*

aim to get 2b by year end and bike by may08!

If you are worried about the height of the bike, then I would suggest Phantom. The seat is pretty low. As for weight (not as bad as you think), I'm sure you will upgrade your license one day, right? Get used to the weight (Phantom is heavier than other bike of its class)... It's a matter of time only... :thumb:

Do let us know what bike you will get in the future!

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

wow, phantom seems really hefty, hehheh. 140kg dry weight... kerb weight should be 180+? wonder if i can reach handlebars, seems a bit far. My friend does own a phantom though, maybe i can ask him to let me 'feel' the bike :p
