guys, do u really want to mount your pda on your bike? is the pda even splashproof?

I have a tank bag which is kinda water resistent though. And there might not be a possibility to mount on your bike.

you can buy a bluetooth GPS receiver, singapore map and link it via bluetooth for it to display on other pdas..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Advice Needed

(Nokia Navigator or Pocket PC)

For Nokia 6110 with Route66 map software,I'm wondering if it is the same as Mapking 2007 where you can search places of interest like MRT,Shopping Centre,Religious Place-Mosque or Church :etc,Petrol Station and many more. And does it enables you to find the nearest place like petrol station and navigate the way there?

I have doubts in buying a Nokia 6110 or a 2nd hand pocket pc with separate GPS module(coz i'm familiar with Mapking and use it before on my previous pocket pc :Eten M700 -damaged!)

i've gt an o2 xda pure.. how do i 'install' gps to it?

gps cannot be installed if your pda does not have it built in. but you can get an external gps receiver and connect it via blue tooth. i'm using an old eten m600 with a taiwan made SiRF StarIII BT gps receiver and they have served me well. apart from having to carry an extra matchbox sized gps receiver, i think this could be better than using the built-in ones as both units have their own batteries. running the pda os, gps application and powering the gps receiver at the same time will drain the pda's battery really fast, no issue if drawing external power from car/bike :p
