I got a question, you know the airbox on the DNA, if there are a few screws missing, will it cause backfiring? And where does the tube that leads into the aibox come from ah?

Dan>> The hose comes from the cylinder head. its the breather hose. Better keep your airbox FULLY sealed (of course, 'cept the airbox opening) to make sure it works as it should.

What I normally do is pump both tires to 250 KPa, the night before, and when the tires are cold (the next day), I just let the air out, to 210 kPa for the front, and 220 kPa for the back, get one of those $6.90 guages at Home fix that looks like a stopwatch!

yeah sadly its still stuck at 1:53... i believe there is a chance to go faster this time with the new found power i had... haha.. hopefully 1:50 then there is a chance to get on the podium:smile:

The petrol leak occurs when the bike is started and idling....then I suspect it is the bottom hose and reacheable then.....:bouncefire:

Yoz, went to PG yesterday! But they were closed! So sianz, anyway, I saw a red Gilera DNA today at Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, malay gal rider, attending wedding I think, any of us here?

Dudes, anyone knows how much a stock DNA belt is? I am seriously going too slow, it is not the engine, confirm transmission cause I am doing 8k RPM and only at 90+++, so it I feel it is the belt slipping or something?

well as long as its a hose then there should not be any difficulty in changing it..

happen to stumble on it while surfing....itz 70cc x 2...so at 140cc inline 2 cylinders wonder wat will become of it

By the way, how much is a stock piaggio belt? I think I better change the belt, my guess it is slipping at high RPM, thus not getting any higher then 104km/h.

Dan>> Monarodna already said b4, it should be the belt already extended.. Hence the pulley can't be spread as far as it should and that explains the lower top speed.

 

The stock belt should be around $80-$90 excl installation. Typically $120 incl installation are what shops charges..
