Hey guys,

As I approach closer to my 2B TP, I can't wait to get my own WR200.

But I have to know how much to set a side for a WR200.

So how much should I have on hand to get a WR200 on the road? Would S$3000 be enough? Please give me an amount including insurance and road tax. If I've left out anything do be a kind soul and enlighten me? :cheeky:

Thanks guys! :bounce:

insurances how old are u.. u just pass so got to plus another 150. if below 20 plus another 100 so u p plate n below 20 = addition of 250.. currently the price now for under 20 n p plate is around 6+ 7+ for 3rd party.. 9+ for 2nd party.. rd tax is 40 per half year.. wr2 wise. depend on the condition.. n coe.. mani with renewed coe are around 2k - 2.8 thou. without, i rmb one guy selling at 600 thou. but got to depend on the engine condition n wad acc the wr have... 3000 should be enuff for a wr2.. rmb u still have transfer fee..

Slow nevermind.... Pattern must be nice.... Bike must be BLING...

1.8 imo is not that worth. renewal of coe cost around 1.2k in the region. There are many guys selling their bikes at 2.6 - 2.7k with coe renewal and lots of studd done to their bike. I previously bought my WR at 2k. COE is ending. There are lots of stuff i need to do to the bike. Like rear linkage and suspension, redo shocks, engine overhaul, clutch plates even the brake pump reservior he uses a RXZ 1... Being a noob the previous owner told me the bike is in perfect condition and nothing needs to be done up.

ITs only upon pushing the bike to Seng that i found out the bike is total crap

I am totally confused. Ytd saw one FW XR200 selling at 3.8k machine price. Including insurance and everything, it costs me 4.2k. Is it worth to buy? Actually my taste is WR200 and budget is around 3k. but cant even find young WR like XR and have to consider for that one. I am afraid I will get crap. Pls help me out for this..

Insurance is dependant on ur age and riding experience. However if you are a p-plate there is an additional charge of 150 if i am not wrong. However for 3rd party insurance it shouldnt exceed 500 i guess for a scrambler. \

IF your budget is around 3.8k basically you can get a ktm ordi.

Where can i find the shop with most variety of choices of scrambler? heard dirtbike is good. anybody knows the address of it? other than this, any other shops selling scrambler? I am living in the west, so a bit troublesome to go there.

dirtbike? i guess u mean dirt wheels? Well there are several dirt bike shops around. However u have to be prepared to pay more to buy a dirt bike from a shop and yet the condition may not be as gd ad wat u can get private. Why dont u get from a private seller? Find a friend who rides a scramb and source it out with you. It also depends on what you want for your scramb?

You wanna raw and initial punch like the ktm? You wan the reliable scramb like xr or wr? OR you wan the fuel efficiency xr125. You need to narrow down what you want.

Actually I just like the outlook of WR200. noob in scramb field. not much preference. just want to use it for transport. i just convert my international licence to singapore one. that's why i dont know abt insurance, transfer fees, road tax and decided to buy from shop since they provide such services. so basically, use for transport, outlook of WR200 and not much giving me problem aft i buy it. and budget is around 2.5 to 3.5k..can help me with this?

But if you just wan to use for transport why not get a road bike? It would be more effficient and more cost savings. IF you like a WR and maybe you would like to go trailing with it and your budget is around 2.5k - 3.5k it would be more dan enough for you to get a gd condition WR..
