Recently just went to unique.... I ride a small bike which was having problems. I guess their great service as mentioned by others are generally reserved for big bike owners. I feel even though small bike owners don't spend much per visit compared to the bigger bikes owners they should still use the same service attitude. All I can say is all customers are customers regardless of the bike they ride. Bike shops should maintain good service attitude for everyone as everyone can be a potential customer.

My trip to unique motorsports has been quite disappointing as I went there after seeing great comments on their service and workmanship. Personally I don't think I would introduce or encourage my friends to go there anymore. Not after they presented to me their "unique" services . I am not here to put down the bike shop nor am I complaining because I was cheated. I am just merely sharing my personal experience at the shop's services. Afterall their prices are not lowest in the market and I am not getting discounted services. As customers we just want to get what we paid for.... This is just my 2 cents worth please don't flame me. Ty

I agree bro. Some bike shops are like that. Some won't bother to entertain small bikes cos how much can they earn right?

Don't entertain nvm but what made me upset was after replacing my cone bearing my wheel shaft thread got damaged I don't know how and instead of advicing me to replace the shaft like what any good shops would do they just lock an additional nut on top of the original nut. What if the shaft gave way?? And I meet into an acident?? Their view on riders life is very disappointing. Btw I ride daily for work and the last thing I want is to die on the road because I wanted to

save on my repairs. Guys just think about it I am not a disgruntled customer but rather a disappointed one

Not only small bikes they screw up. Big bikes too. As in when ask them to change wheel and cone bearings, they say ok. But if u careless enough nvr monitor what they are doing, they wont change and tell u change already. Tatz wat happen to me.

from what i know, they treat all customers equal ... no such thing as preferential treatment ... the same salesperson will attend to any biker that approaches the shop to see what he/she needs ...

i was @ the shop both times u came down and i vaguely understand ur situation ... u r riding a Y125 Z which has problems with handling during ur ride correct ?

i am not taking sides in this matter as u did leave with ur bike still wobbling but its not right to say they never treat u equally as compared to others ...

Upon inspection of ur bike on Monday, what were all the problems mentioned to u? and out of those mentioned which ONE did u choose to rectify 1st? u chose to do only one of the step and expect the bike to be 'Brand New"? this is not really fair isit? and i am pretty sure that having changed the new steering cone, the wobbling situation has improved much more than when u 1st came in ... but it cant be completely solved unless u rectify the other problems as well ...

bike shops are not places where by the power of prayer or by some divine intervention, a bike's problem can be identified ... having thoroughly examined the bike, they will then tell u what is wrong with it, which was done in ur case ... if u had listened in the 1st place, then ur problem would have been solved ... and if they got a nut to tighten ur wheel shaft, didn't they technically ensure it would not fly out and saved u money?

Would have to agree with the comments here. Their services is overhyped and workmanship is nothing fantastic. The gd thing is their pricing is clear. Will not recommend my friends there.

So are you trying to say :

- Tightening the nut is more important as compared to your life..??

- Can't you just advice the owner to get the parts replaced as mentioned spoiled rather than just tighten it??

- You trying to say, the shop help cut cost & not help safe life?

- Come on bro, think before you talk. Life if gone,is gone lioa. If you can replace life with money, tell us.

Hi deltaboi. I agree with what you said. However changing of steering cone was recommended by the person attending to me. I duly accepted the shop's advice. But when I return after leaving my bike at the shop for repair I realised that the problem persist and furthemore my headset was damaged. This damage I must first say here is not why I am disappointed as I paid the shop for the replacement. My disappointment lies with me feeling misinformed and advised insufficiently for my safety.

If you were in my shoes, upon questioning the shop's representative about a persisting problem and unexpected bike damage. And all you recieve is hostile replies which some where considered on my personal opinion as insulting. I was told by the mechanic that attended to my bike that I did not hold my handle bar properly during my ride(I rode this bike for nearly 10 months) and the wobbling was due my own psychological effect. Would you have anymore confidence in continuing your repairs even if more recommendations are brought up?

Anyways the most important point in my post is to share to fellow forum user my customer experience at unique motors. My post do not in anyway accuse the shop of any fault. This post is more of a user review than a flamewar starting post. As a forum user yourself you can feel free to read or ignore my post.

Why do I post here? There is no feedback channel at unique motors where gentlemanly we can discuss my quite unpleasant experience. All in all i intend no bad intentions to Unique and it's staff as previous experience was pleasant.

By the way so you were there both times I visited? I was there pretty early and there wasn't much ppl around and you know pretty much details as I was all the while talking only to the shop's representatives. Did you managed to see them change my cone bearings?? I must admit I do not know as I left my bike there as I had to work so can you please kindly comfirm for me deltaboi??

Another opinion of mine..... A shop should not only be judged by how good their prices, service or workmanship. The judgement should lie on how well customer relationship and feedbacks are handled. No amount of hostility, impatience or rudeness can solve anything. A good shop is open to discussion and be all listening ear to the customer after all they know what's the problem being the user of the bike. Ridicule the customer of his problem can be quite counter-productive as it just anger the customer chasing him away of any solution. Again just my 2 cents worth

bro... bike shops encounter diif kind of customers, some r cheapskate, wan this wan tat yet wan cheap at ridiculous price, even not scared to compromise safety. while some dun care the cost, as long as safety is there, they will pay the amount. so sometimes miscommunications can happen between customers n bike shops... i say like tat coz i neve patronise unique b4, so how's their standard i dunno... so maybe in ur case is a misunderstanding...

wad i see u have posted here, according to ur expectations, u can give HL Cycle a try. i dun mean HLC is better than unique, but i mean u can try it out n compare urself... so far i see HLC customer relationship is good... feedbacks can be given n if they got their difficulties they will explain... ppl post here say this shop good tat shop good (including me:lol:) can only be treated as feedback, u got to try n determine urself... i say HLC good is coz i patronising for 10 months plus, so far so very good... so i reccommend here...

thanks bro... definetely would drop by to HLC.... haha seen the other comments in this thread. Seems like a very biker friendly shop.

And ya this might be a misunderstanding. Unique motors can always leave me a message if they feel like my claims are false. But most likely I dont think it is possible since there is no channel for customer feedbacks. But all in all to move on from this experience, I have a few advice for my fellow bikers.

1) NEVER leave your bike to a shop for product and services unless tested.

2) Always make sure you do a survey before making decision.

3) Have a list of items you want to do before going to a shop.

FYI.... my bike handle bar is still wobbling when I travel from 60 to 80 and luckily my own mech has change the shaft for me at the cost of $8. $8 bucks for personal safety is really a bargain!!!

yup... alot of satisfied customers, but of coz can't satisfy every single one, they will do their best... misunderstanding can happen at every shop... so dun becoz of an unpleasant encounter u condemn the shop... this applies to unique also... sometimes voicing out to them, they learn n improve... gd luck...
