Actually there are places that have worse lots that the one in the pic... but usually lighting conditions don't permit a proper looking pic..

 

E.g. Causeway point, where i'm usually forced to park into a dark "cave" below the ducts, almost gotta leopard crawl to get to ur bike, if not u will hit ur head...

Mounted my panniers yesterday to test out "driving style" in SG.

Basically can't squeeze that much, lane splitting at slower speed etc.

 

Went into my office carpark, ended up getting push around by the carpark attendent.

I could not park at my regular bike lot cos my bike together with the panniers took up 1.5 bike lot. Car park only got 5 bike lot, which 4 already taken up.

 

Ended up shifting my bike to a dark isolated corner outside a water sprinkler room.

Yesterday parked in the middle of 2 lot and kena complained by the building management. Today had to park at a awkward angle in order to allow some space for the next slot.

 

Well can't complain too much as my parking is granted free, otherwise had to pay for it like the rest of the people.

maybe we should photograhed the lots that we think is too small and then send it to LTA to review?

Boon Lay definately.. this place is not called little JB for nothing.. the old lots in the older estates are big enough only for malaysian small bikes, waves, lao K.. the newer lots are better and fatter but limited.

Actually, we need to submit the picture of the biggest bike available in singapore parked in the smallest lot we can find in singapore to HDB/URA/LTA. Quite obviously that the painters/designers do not ride..

coz today saw a car during a left u-turn from his lot n he mounts the kerb..

So true!! Narrow lots and against the wall, sometimes next to impossible to exit the area!

that's a classic example of a bike lot. Narrow and small. and when fully used up, it will block the driver who wants to get into his car.

recently, there was a blk upgrade around my area. They even repainted all the parking lots. and guess what.

THEY REPAINTED THE BIKE LOTS and EACH LOT became SMALLER.

Now i have a hard time getting down my bike if there was a bike beside me.

would rather park in the centre of 2 lots than to park in the centre of a lot and use a bit of the space left and right of you.

 

how do u think a gold wing park in a motorcycle lot.

 

i use 2 lots when i park in bukit panjang plaza too.

Some are narrow and the lots look ok when there are no bikes parked. But if you park in one of the inside lots and other bikes start to park, it's impossible to get out if you are on a big bike! unless you move other's bike but if got handlebar lock or another big bike, then tao tia liao!

 

If got narrow lots from gahment controlled ones best. E.g. HDB or URA. Got pictures best!

I'm not yet a rider, but the m/cycle lots at my block seem long but narrow.. 3 or 4 bike lots in the space of 1 car lot, and those who park near the pavement may have a hard time getting out as the space between the lots are quite small.

maybe the designer not rider thats why

 

ask them draw a smaller lot for cars

 

maybe can park more cars

 

draw the lot so small for bike

 

not all bike same size lor

yah l0r, they mostly design for 2b bikes, but bikes got diff sizes mah, the designers so stupid, even every man's ***** also got different size....
