Hope it will come true..

 

Problem is...

1. Rafa is going to spend nearly his entire budget on Glen Johnson (for whatever reason)

2. Only if Dossena and Babel leaves for reasonable amounts maybe we can offer Valencia

3. Buying him will break up the deadly partnership of Torres and Gerrard. It may also force a change in formation, negating the midfield combination of Masch and Alonso.

4. Villa definitely do not want to spend most of the season on the bench as a backup striker

 

What we need is a support / backup striker who can come in as cover if either is injured / suspended and willing to spend most of his time not in the first team.

Tuncay Sanli seems to fit this option and we can buy him on the cheap since Boro has been relegated. Another plus is he is BPL experienced.

 

But what I would love to see is Rafa let more game time to his current youngster setup. No, not that rubbish Brazilian Lucas.

Nabil El-Zhar, Kristian Nemeth (did I spell his first name right?) and Insua (although he got to play more last season when Aurelio was out).

 

In fact, I hope El-Zhar gets more game time, either as a support striker or winger.

hi guys.. first post here.. and here is my thoughts..

David Silva sucks

i watched him last season wif valencia.. nothing more than mediocre..

only highlight was that wonder goal against chelski.. not worth $25mil pounds

definitely overated.

 

 

and we dont see another striker..

like most liverpudlians out here knows dat gerard plays his best in the hole...

we dont need another high profile striker waiting for torres to get injured..

Not treble.

Owen was part of the treble winning 2001-2002 team.

After Owen left, we won the UCL and FA Cup, not to mention got Torres.

 

LOL.

but i am glad that Rafa has issued a statement saying that his prized assets will not be sold...

 

the team from last season will know each other's capability a bit better and that should do the trick...

 

this is the best time if at all Liverpool can dominate the league and i really hope they do so...fans all over the world have been waiting for too long...

With Glen Johnson coming in, I believe that will strengthen the team. Unfortunately, the Reds are likely to lose Alonso. That I think will be a great loss. Hopefully, Rafa can persuade Marcherano to stay. If he goes too, that would be a double blow.

hi die hard liverpool fan reportin in.......haiz will there ever be another ian rush in liverpool. 80s he played along wit john aldrige, john barnes, peter beardsley, bruce gobbler. that was de magic combination of de millienum. was only 10- 12 yrs old den. we had matches on sat noon, evenins on channel 5.

That's the problem when BPL teams travel. They do not display all their top players because of the fear of injuries.

how to get their training passes. damm they are not exiting thru the normal gates unlike in 2001 where i waited for them a the airport, skipping lectures. haha
