2B License Duration

Hi ppl,

 

New to this forum and bike stuff.. Roughly how long is needed to obtain a 2B License?

Do I need to go for defensive riding if I am taking 2B license?

 

Hope bros and sis can help noob here with some questions.

Well that depends on how long you take to clear your lessons. You can only progress to the next lesson after passing the particular lesson. Depending on which driving center you choose to go to, there are about 6-8 lessons?

 

During which, you would also need to go for theory lessons (and BTT if you don't have it) as well as RTT. Theory tests usually have a waiting time as well, about 2 months. TP itself also about 2 months+ (nowadays).

 

2+2+2 and assuming you pass all your practicals within this period, I would say the fastest would be 6 months, again, assuming you pass on your first try. If you have BTT from class 3, then 4months or so?

 

You do not need defensive riding unless you are a NSF and you wish to ride into camp. Other than that, not sure why you would need it..

call up your nearest training center and ask. don't worry. they are friendly.

 

everyone is different. it depend on how frequent you attend lessons and your ability to clear it. last but not least also the availability of TP test.

 

personally i took 10 months. others better folks can clear in 6 to 8 months.

Better to consult the instructor/s on the spot, they can identify any wrongs and right it immediately, instead of getting answers online.

you need to imagine the situation again, and rebuild it in your mind.

fastest at the moment is 4 months if u already clear btt. bec it takes 2 months waiting time for rtt and another 2 months for tp. but usually it will take around 6 months to complete now. And my advice is aviod going to CDC, as my friend went there for 2B waiting time per lesson was 2 weeks which is horrible, may be it has improve now as I see new 2b bikes.

Too many bikers there clog up the course and you spend more time waiting for each obstacle. 2 too many riders there meaning next available class is usually a few weeks later. 3. Too many cars there meaning everyone stuck in course traffic. 4. Ubi road traffic is terrible and easy to be faulted on. Ssdc is my preferred school.

yeah agree. I also prefer SSDC altho i never tried bbdc. since SSDC circuit has 3 floors and 2 floors are indoors, most of the time lesson will be indoor.

unless you stay in the extreme east i'd suggest like the others to go ssdc/bbdc

 

i myself come from cdc but the congestion (circuit and outside) really sucks, had to cut off learner cars (circuit) to make use of my revision

most importantly, do you have riding experience? like illegal riding or so.... do you have driving exprience? if so auto or manual?

 

if the answer is no to all question, then you probably going to take longer time...

 

and are you working? the schdule isnt fix and subjected to availablity, so if you are working full time you probably need to really squeeze time out.
