Parking on Pavement: WARNING and HELP needed...

ok guys the cisco guys are out of control...my biker friends and I have kena no less than 8 pavement parking in various parts of the island in the past two mths.

 

WARNING: cisco has stepped up their ops so DO NOT PARK ON PAVEMENTS eventhough you may say that i have been parking on pavements for three years and nothing happened. Or say to yourself it's ten pm or after office hours!You are dead wrong...be warned or be fined $70!

 

Anyways my story two months ago: $70 pavement parking in pte housing behind wheelock place i. I managed to appeal and bullshit say that my bike broke down (the clutch cable broke) so i had to park there, so i got receipts from my mechanic to prove. Verdict: Appeal successful.

 

However just one month after the successful appeal my friend and I was fined (together) for parking on the pavement along Fong seng near NUS (bukit panjang road, along the private housing beside the fong seng). Was damn pissed off lor! I mean i eat, sit down and then wah liao!kena summon!.I feel very hard done by, so I am thinking of appealing. So I really dunno what to appeal this time. I need your help: some of my friends told me to say this: the clutch cable broke AGAIN! can you believe it? I know ridiculous but they say you can say this time that it is a technical thing that cause the clutch cable to break AGAIN!LOL! So any of you brothers and sistas know what this "technical thing" is...or can help me think of new inventive excuses (number below, continue):

You could try.. Ur clutch cable hose kena chip off by stone on the road.. then keep rubbing against the clutch cable thus break after some time..

 

Or maybe the clutch cable touching exhaust (mechanic nv do properly) thus hot and cold easy break?

anyway, tink the petrol excuse might work, but need reciept to show as proof.

yea.. seriously u shd juz stop parking on the pavements.. if not i can only say too bad.. juz find a parking lot and shaft ur bike there la.. even if dun put coupon oso fine $8 onli wat..

I tink not oni cisco are on the move. Other parking warden oso do the same thing. My carpark here oways got 2 parking warden come and go. late nite and early morning. everytime sure 2 pple one. cant they work alone?

Never Never Never park on pavement. Just go for the carpark and don't put coupon.

they say once bitten twice shy ..... but you nvr seem to learn your lesson so i guess if you dare to do the wrong then you should be prepared to face the consequences. Its not the summon-ing officers who are in the wrong here.

 

For the sake of a few cents kena summon even $8 not really worth it. You put one coupon can last the whole day .... $8 can buy a whole booklet, needless to say what $70 can do ....

Hmm.. Unless there's no carpark or got carpark with no entry to motorcycle, Otherwise U dun waste ur time to appeal.. But I guess those Cisco officers are not in the wrong, Where else u r.. Btw, No doubt ppl tends to pissed off when getting summons, But think abt it, Do u deserve the summon? Those guys are paid to do this.. U r also pay to work mah.. OK brothers and sistas in the thread: YOU are very very wrong. I have been riding for 3 yrs and i never kena pavement parking summon before. I park this time becuase there are no lots around the area, nearest is at NUS or 200 metres away near pasir panjang. If u dont know the location why dont u go and recce and see what i mean? NO LOTS, if parking was $2 i also pay lah, save $0.65 for what. NEAR NUS. got zig zag line (means 3 pts and $130 fine), so park on pavement lor!

 

If got lots within 50 m and i park on pavement i will say i totally deserve it. Can u believe it your dumpling become $73!!!?

 

So what i want is constructive comments...like the inventive dude who i may consider using...the clutch cable kena torn apart.LOL...u are super hillarious. If i use and i tp gimme chance i buy u ice milo and prata at FONG SENG but this time we park in NUS, walk there to eat. LOL.

 

p.s. i am not from nus though....just follow friend that nite.

There is a car park within walking distance, 5 min.....

 

Its not that near, but still its a proper carpark... Usually they will also have bike lots...

I also saw SBS Transit (off service) bus park there to packet his supper too.

I have been riding for 15 years, and have NEVER gotten a pavement summon. That's simply because I make it a point not to anyhow park and inconvenience others.

 

You chose to gamble but lost. Pay up.
