I dont think there's a spec 4 to begin with..

 

If the spring is black, possibility are that's not a showa but a aftermarket one

i hear say only.. the only Original SHOWA will be from version S.. any after that would be from Showa Honda.. cuz during that time, honda took over Showa..

 

and if i'm not wrong.. most spec1 comes with black coils.. only those who changed to newer ones will have red.. mine comes in black, i go change to red..

 

the colour of coil doesnt matter, got black, red and sliver.. as long as it's a Showa shock can already.. you may wish to change to aftermarket one in future..

ok since the performance thingy is the same regardless of colours, i think that should be fine.....

 

 

how u guys distinguish showa shocks huh??? if without the showa sticker....

 

and lastly u guys find the price of 5k for a fr plate ex?? or ok??

i bought my FR plate for $5500.. new paint, clutch plates, speedo sensor, crash bar and top box.. fully stock..

 

IMHO, the more stock the more ex.. I also prefer stock bike..

 

maybe get your friend to go view with you.. it's very easy to see if it's Showa or not.. even without the sticker.. but dunno how to explain how.. paiseh, not much help here..

Just DIY. Can buy those high temp spray from DIY shop. Easy way is to just put some newspaper to protect the bike paintwork, then spray the paint. Hard way is to remove the header and spray it. Either way, its not too difficult. Don't waste money go bike shop for such easy tasks... And like what others say, it will rust again soon, so there's no end to it...

Bike shop will charge abt $20-30 for spraying.. take out and spray of cuz..

 

Expensive solution for rusty headers:

 

Buy Micron or Yoshi Full System..

my ver2 is using a verS showa... anyway, stock or not i think for ver1 gotta rebuild it... at bike lab they say... cost damage $200... cauz comin 10 yrs, it should be soft liau...
