Was making a right turn from bedok reservoir rd towards bedok north rd just now. I was moving off just as the right green arrow about to appear then suddenly saw a speeding double decker bus appear from opposite trying to beat the amber turning red light....I quickly full throttle to speed off. Miss me like less than 1/2 second:giddy:

 

i am sure driven by who??? how do we report incidence like this without evidence?

The bus company? But very difficult as it is your word against the driver. The importance of an on board cam.

I think as a company's policy, they should install the cameras in the buses pointing at the roads. So if any complaints, just have to view the footage from the bus. Similar to the cameras already inside the bus already.

With the amount of money they take from us, should be able to afford.

i have encountered many times especially the off-shift buses. they are getting blatant nowadays. when i look at the drivers, mixture: some old man (singaporeans?) and new slight botak , chubby (foreign)?

The worst is when they move off from a bus stop. Just come out without thinking of other vehicles.

Likewise. However I always slow down upon approaching unless the bus stop already exactly beside. Many times had to swerve out to avoid the buses when these drivers do the popular simultaneously signal and turn move.

Agreed. Some times buses just like to come out from the bus stop when your bike is actually moving. Must be careful

Today another incident. Stupid tipper truck turning right without looking. I have to e brake and stop in the middle of the junction to let him slowly move along.

There are drivers of tipper trucks challenging people to try drive a tipper truck when they are told to look out for other road users. Obviously do not see what they do is wrong hence more of these events will happen.

these tipper trucks sometimes bochup one. Not too sure isit they cant see, too tired working long hours or straight up douchebags. They know they are protected in their big trucks.

 

Keep clear of them at all times and be safe out there.

I would say douchebags? Already know cannot see then by all means check more to see if it is clear and safe to move instead of assuming its clear without ensuring if it is really clear. Safe to move to these drivers is safe for them but not safe for other road users. As said before they will challenge others to drive a tipper truck and give the excuse this blindspot and that. They could not be bothered to check properly to ensure its clear.

Rode over a sunken depression on the road today and kena a violent vertical shock. Reach home then discover my upper back , shoulder and neck muscle pain.... Sianz.

I concur. Almost langgar with one last week. Was travelling on the bus lane to turn left in to serangoon north Ave 2, the bus just came out without checking. Sighs.

Submit to company and cc to Traffic Police. No reply just ask Traffic Police what is the outcome. Take down the incident/report number.
