maybe today jus not my day, encountered this very skillful rider on a malaysia registered cup kia... i was travelling on the centre lane on the expressway and this wonderful cup kia jus merged in into the expressway, cutting across the left lane and right into my path, well i swerved all the way to the right, luckily there was no cars behind... when i stare at him, he still can give me those WTF u wan kinda look!~... damn it, he shld learn to chk his mirrors!~

 

to top it off, he was wif a pillion and if a lorry were to be approaching instead of me, gd luck!~ ride safely ppl!~

keep getting into amber lights on my way home pek chek. while i braked and stopped i c other bikes and cars dashing thru, in situations like tat will kerna camera or not huh? 1 or 2 occasion i couldn't stop in time and when i already cross but light just turn red, will kerna or not huh? sheesh kinda worried leh, can someone pls advise.

No flash means no kana lo..... Coz the flash really VERY visible 1....

usually after it just turn red, think u can count 3 sec before the cameras r activated..

hope i am ok didn't c any bright flash though but then again i hv nv seen one b4 tat's why am kinda worried.

When you kena the flash you will know... very bright bluish flash.

Tell you how to siam these cameras if you cannot stop in time.

 

Ride between the lanes..along the white dividing lines between the lanes. The sensors for the that trigger the camera are located as 2 sets of parallel lines to and embedded in the lane very close to the stop line. There is one set of parallel lines linking the 2 lanes sensors... this one cannot detect your bike when you cross over them.

 

How I know? I was crazy enough to try this out many years ago and it has proven to be correct. Long ago when they first installed the speed camera along Yishun Avenue, I accidently found out that there are no sensors on the dividing line of the lanes. I sped through at 90 KMH but a car following me at the same speed, quite far behind activated the camera.

 

Then a few months later I actually shot through a red light camera by mistake due to day dreaming... I escaped but the taxi following me kena the camera.

 

Now it is my habit to ride on the dividing line between lanes when I pass a speed camera or when I go through a traffic light junction.

 

Having said this, I am not trying to teach anyone how to beat red lights... you are stupid to do that and may pay with your life. How you want to use this information is up to you, so please don't flame me.

You don't want to see it, especially when it flashes x2 behind ya. The 1st one is just a warning and the 2nd time it's for real.

jus now when i was riding in loyang met this 'skillful' taxidriver(again!!!).. i was turning right and the cab was turnin left from opposite road onto this two lane road.. technically he should keep to his left lane and i should keep to the left when we turn to there... i did but he didnt cos there was a car infront of him, so conveniently he started to cut into my lane without signalling... i started horning... think my horn too soft need louder ones... the more i horn, the faster he cut and i gotta brake hard.. with my new bike, the tyres still not that worn yet, so fishtail lor... i knnb very loud in my helmet!!!

 

decided to have a nice chat with him... stop beside him next traffic light... knock his passenger side window... WTF... he act blur and check rear mirror... i knock harder then he open the window... i said.. uncle you got see me anot??? you deaf ah??? i horn you you never response.... know what he said??? he said, i tot you horn me to ask me to go in ya lane!!!! where got this kinda thing... i dammmmmmmmmmmmmm hot ah!!! but he said sorry lah... wah so not willing ah... WTF again!!!! then i said hey uncle next time remember to check and signal ah... he act blur again give me then GL look... i was rushing for time if not i will stop my bike infront of him, on hazard light and shut down liao...

 

anyone complain to taxi companies about these 'sightings'??? will they do anything??? we should have these dangerous drivers off the road....

this morn i become pretty slow when approaching lights

 

on the expway earlier, this car was constantly braking and i could see that he's tailgating w a relatively ok traffic though it's rather heavy. his car was not directly behind the next car in front cos u know that he will change lane the v next min and he did and again he was tailgating car in front. i went past him and just showed my displeasure with hand signals of why he needs to tailgate ppl. later up front i changed lane to the left cos i am going to filter out and he started to tailgate me oso. i twitched my brake to tell him to bk off but soon enuf i went in btw lanes and lost sight of him.

 

just one of those typical situations.......

Was accelerating out from a slip road onto the KJE when I noticed a female driven beige Toyota Corolla on my right, travelling at almost the same speed as me at that point in time.

 

She was trying to filter left to turn off at Choa Chu Kang. Thought she would slow down and move in behind me and let me move onto the KJE as my speed increased. No she did not do that, instead she started forcing her vehicle into my lane, and as her turn off was fast approaching... she moved in even more despite knowing that I am next to her, worst still she started getting too damned close so I had no choice but brake hard and let her through or else I would have to get off the KJE again.

 

Dun she know that vehicles that join into an expressway will be increasing their speed?? And she was getting off, she should let them go first and slow down behind them after letting through instead of jamming into their lanes to impede their speed?

 

But never mind, today is Friday, a very important day for me, and I was getting off work and dreaming of going to PG tomorrow morning.

 

I won't let anyone spoil this most important day of the week, so I just looked at her and shook my head. No finger, no horn, no fist waving...just cool only.

squeeze in btw lane next to the driver and the moment the light turn green driver sped off woah wished tat there was a TP ard cos obviously speeding v fast.

 

further down a nissan driver zig zag thru cars while i was within speed limit of 70 and cutting in fr my side to the next lane.

 

aiyoh........wat's the hurry...didn't get much reaction fr me cos i was v tired and hungry hardly got much energy left.

 

but i saw a gal on cbr600 red color one w micron exhaust obviously faster than me

Remember the 3 arrows on the rd that's always before the traffic lights??? Instructor at riding centre told us as long as we are already within the arrows when lights turn amber, go ahead, dash thru. Of course, speed must be reasonable lah, not like turtle like that.....

 

If lights turn amber before you are even near the arrows, you have leeway to make a stop at the junction safely.

 

Applicable only on dry roads. U be your own judge. Works fine for me.

 

I think if it's raining and you have no choice but to brake "thru" a red light camera, maybe you can try to explain to the TP??? Happened to my fren, because he use malaysia Dunlop TT100, and skidded thru the Chompang Junction which is outside ADSD now many many yrs ago....camera flashing, but I dunno he kana fine or not as it's raining. Luckily he did not fall.

zod it's undertail exhaust and unmistakeably a cbr600rr sure is v chio when a gal is on it and some more red in color. my hubby had the same bike b4 and had the same exhaust as well hehe but dun think it's his old bike though
