Careful man.. But of cuz not that i wanna aim the banglas or what. But have you guys travel at little india, those banglas don't even give nuts about checking the cars before crossing the road.

I almost ran over 3 banglas juz travelling 3 traffic lights. -.-'''

But overall if we hit a pedestrian, we will be in the wrong.. Unless got witness to prove pedestrian is in the wrong.

today while riding home and entering the carpark, notice a Camry, SCZ2626 parked by the entry of the road that leads to the car park. after i came out, i walked pass the car and saw the driver was writing or drawing something. That was about 4.30pm. I went to do my stuff, buy newspaper then coming back still seeing this car parked there at about 4.50pm. Notice he was counting money. then i make a big walk around as he was kind of suspicious. think he spoted me so he drove off. wonder what is he doing? planning the CCK big robbery?

yesterday, i was almost in deep ****. i was travelling along a small road and almost knocked down on a bangla. the reason why it happened is as below.

1. i focus more on drivers than people walking by the pavement

2. it was night

3. the bangla was only wearing a sarong and a dark shirt. his light coloured sarong was the one that saved him. and if only he smile, that will have really help me a lot. i meant it in a very serious way!

4. the bangla didn't check for traffic before jaywalking

5. the bangla made a stupid mistake after being shocked to see a rider coming towards him which is to run into my path when he can just wait at the middle of the 2 lane road. seriously, he thinks he's faster than me.

6. i was already getting ready to turn right into the carpark so couldn't swerve away from him.

7. there was a van parked illegally on the opposing lane which hinders me to preempt this kind of situation.

lucky for me, as he made a mad dash across the road, he jumped back at the right moment as i managed to e brake and slow down drastically just in time for him to step back from my line of path as i passed by him. suddenly, time goes into a slow motion replay as i passed by him. if i had never braked on time, he surely won't have enough time to step back. gosh! what's up with these people? i think bbdc or ssdc should add this to their teaching guide. watch out for potential jaywalkers just by the roadside and slow down just in case they decided to commit suicide.

You sure dez oni 1 of em? ltr if u really buah dio him, den allof em come out pounce on u den u noe! jk.

anyone know what happened just now at CTE? TP blocked all 4 lanes towards town direction but there were no accident. The other direction of traffic had police on bike ambushing. Seems they are trying to hunt something/someone down.

u nearly ran into a bangla, fr me, it was a different thing.

you know theres the 2 lines for pedestrian to cross, and another separate line that is for vehicles to stop. i stopped at the stop line lor. idiot bangla crossed the road at the stop line , so obviously i'm sort of "obstructing" his path. and guess what, HE SCOLDED ME LAAAA ! at first it was the normal staring, so i shrugged it off. then started to hurl dont know what language plus the hand also move.

then there were road works at ayer rajah, so they had to divert traffic. hehe without those luminous clothes they wear, i couldnt see them uh.

----

but nothing beats the traffic at P. Pangkor. bikes die die must ride at left side of the road, if not sure kena horn by the reckless taxi drivers. riding at P. Pangkor was kinda exhausting, have to be alert coz some riders may just pop out from no where. and at night it's worst, some bikes really like it needs to go to the scrapyard already. visibility very poor. suddenly big pink taxi appear behind you, horn then overtake. and really really got no right of way. must be brave !

they know that the singapore govt will protect them. i bet the first thing they write to their relatives back in india is that singapore is a very safe country. can walk alongside the road without worry of being banged down or snatch theft occurring. and the drivers are very friendly. always like to horn to acknowledge their presences. and showing the middle finger is the singapore style of saying hi. and that we singaporeans really respect the banglas. cos we always brake to stop just to give way to them to cross. i bet they will also say that it's very safe to cross the road blindfolded as they can never be run over by cars.

relax la bro! if i were u, i just zip past him and just continue my ride. see la. you shouted at him and ended up feeling angrier than before! they wanna ride slow, their business. my business is that i wanna get from point A to point B while enjoying the ride. and if got any riders need any help, i'll surely stop to help and that is if i can stop in time. and till now, i think more than 20 people have asked me for directions around the area when the traffic light is red. see! i'm a very friendly person. hahaha... but somehow, i seemed to attract only the mature age group rather than the young and wild ones. and still no lady rider smiled at me!! all of them put on a stuck up face attitude like i owe them a living. i really mean ALL!!

actually, there's 5 of them in a group. 1 had already crossed,3 with brains had clearly saw me and was waiting for traffic to clear before deciding to cross while this bugger must have been separated from his 1 friend in front so that's why die die must 'beat' me across the road. and come on la!! it's WOODLANDS!!! not little india. if along serangoon rd, i just LLST cos that's their port anyway. i rather they do this kind of sheetz in one place rather than all over! and that means not in my neighbourhood!!! got 1 time i rode along woodlands industrial park E. it's like a bangla meeting point! got a FEW sat along the middle of the road using the divider as a bench while chit chatting on the road. while most of them just hung ard chit chat like nobody's business. if got 1 lambo just dashed across the road at 250km/hr, i think at least 10 will be dead. think grand theft auto style.

the one riding bicyle lagik best!! when on the road, follow beside car as if it's like a motorcycle on the road. but when traffic light turns red, can 'beat' the red light like nobody's business or cross the traffic light alongside the pedestrians. if no traffic, even worse!! can just go diagonally! these cyclist certainly have both way of rights eh? rights of a motorist and a pedestrian. if a pedestrian cross diagonally, sure kena horn like siao!

speeding? i think all of us speed on a normal road. got 1 time i was riding along a normal road and since i was feeling lazy, i just rode very slow. i looked at the speedo. WTF!! it's 50km/hr!!! hahahaha... anyway, don't accuse me of being too speedy. i just follow the relative speed of the traffic on the road.

the rational sounds bizarre but these banglas are definitely road hazards. i guess their mentality is very different...think pretty much expect vehicles to give way to them.

WAHH!! lucky i was never activated for such exercises!! phew!

hahaha... what other rationale is possible? can't blame them la. if you really think about it, the only reason we think they are in the wrong because we are so used to following rules and guidelines. for them, it's more of common sense and logic. they walk, you just avoid them and everyone is happy. think about it.

in india/bangladesh, i doubt they have a lot of traffic lights. they rule by their own method of giving way. in fact, i really think that some of them are really nice people just that india's/bangla's and singapore's way of life are totally going in opposites. sometimes, i really think we should learn from them. we have lost much of our soul as a human. when we get into an accident, we think more about the insurance claim and started to take picture and calling the TP to be witness to the accident rather than immediately rendering help to the injured party. what has happen to singapore? i just don't know!

I think DuexExMachina got a solution for this type of problem. If I may quote him, it would be "Just phuck it all, twist the throttle, lane split and go." I'm pretty certain he would have done that and got away. Right, Dues?

Endlessloop would have said that applying HOV means you don't get into the sticky situation in the first place, rather than find a solution to it after getting stuck. Judge traffic early, anticipate the bottlenecks, lane change in front of the bus if possible since there would have been signs of congestion building up behind the bus. This is easier said than done.

Being more conspicuous as riders, we could also raise a left hand courtesy sign to let us filter out. Works wonders sometimes.

If all else fails, change route.

Actually not quite. I would have zoomed past the bus in the first place and never gotten trapped behind him.
