found some low life stole my givi wind shield off my phantom... sianz...

hope he goes so fast it shatters and takes the top of his skull off... LOL

Hey bro, maybe you might wanna consider covering your bike next time... It will help in deterring the thiefs from stealing your stuff from your bike.

I know i know... it's not a definite protection. It's just a deterrence.

Hope this helps! :thumb:

Last night while riding up to Yishun, got caught in the heaviest rain ever while on the CTE/BKE area. I was drenched till the point where my shoes got flooded.

Happened to me again this afternoon while going to work. Now my gloves are soggy, soft, smelly and I have no chance to dry it up quick.

Anyone got any tips to dry leather gloves in the fastest time possible??

Er... bro... there are a few things you can do:

1. put them on the aircon compressor

2. clip them near your bike's radiator

3. The ultimate old method: under the hot sun, hung with the bamboo gala

4. Or like what Deus suggested, put in microwave... just make sure you don't cook food inside after that... :p:P

mmm... medium rare with the juices flowing...... darn, now i'm hungry for one... haha

found that on some DEmotivator picture site and as it pretty obvious, i changed the bottom part :p

it's a good reminder though, coz if you look closely, even though he was wearing track shoes, it came off and his toes are grazed as well...

Thought provoking siggy you have there, antartica.

At least he had the bloody cow sense to wear a full face helmet. Or else looking at his wounds.. the right side of his face should be scruffed up too.

Alot of our local riders need to realise that an open face helmet does not offer much protection.

Many riders own and ride high-powered superbikes, but choose to wear cheap open-faced helmets.

Then there is another group that choose open-face over full-face helmets because they are embarassed to be seen in good riding gear while riding small bikes.

Only god knows what they are thinking.

hahaha...should see me...i am wearing full gear with a small bike. EVERYBODY stares when i ride pass. i guess they think its weird or something. i'm just glad that if anything should happen i'll be as protected as i can be.

if you look at that picture again, he was wearing jeans too...but still kenna bad road rash...damn scary just thinking about it.

where you guys go for steak? don't talk about the high end stuff like longbar and mortons. i'm talking about simple places with good steak. so far, the best i've tried is botak jones and astons. but this is off topic...

its properly parked la..it's too straight already..the rider is actually being considerate, see..still got space for bike on the left n right..this is a good example of making full use of the limited space for assigned bike parking..:lol:

actually may not be his/her fault. i parked there before in the middle of 1 lot and someone moved my bike so more bikes could squeeze cos of the limited bike lots. quite scary to come back and realised your bike have been moved. haha

that one at orchard right? normal la. a considerate rider actually. so that other bikes can also squeeze in between to park also.

..

It's 10 am on a Sunday morning when the parking lot is at the easiest to find lots 'cos the M'sian kup owners are not working that day. Even on Saturday mornings have to be early.

I'll go with Astons.

Botak Jones... The one I ate the last time had too much veins, and was overcooked. I bloody asked for medium rare and it came medium well. And they just love pouring their gravy over everything.

Whatever happened to a properly marinated chargrilled steak that was done exactly medium rare and slightly bloody that you didn't have to put any sauce on it. Just a sprinkle of salt and pepper and it's ready to be cut up.

sorry for being off-topic but this will be my last on this makan topic...though i so love to makan!

i had a bad experience at botak too. similar to yours, overdone steak, too sinewy, too much herbs on it, told them, they said only can redo the doneness, not the herbs cos of central kitchen, redid it rare, i took it anyway, then the server "educated" me that this was not medium rare but it was rare. sigh. i wrote in that night. got an immediate response. botak went to investigate and in the end they had some qc issues in their central kitchen, and the cooks at the store had their doneness wrong. i'm still debating if i should use the "any item on menu free" coupon that he mailed me. still, i am impressed he takes feedback so seriously and takes immediate action. kudos to him.

ok...back to riding discussions :-)

Alot of our local riders need to realise that an open face helmet does not offer much protection.

There were a few instances where I was wearing open face helmets..

1) BBDC

2) Friend pillioned me a few times

3) Riding my Aprilia across the road from my house to the MSCP to wash my bike.

And of all 3 times, only when I'm riding my own bike do I felt very uncomfortable with the helmet

Many riders own and ride high-powered superbikes, but choose to wear cheap open-faced helmets.

Then there is another group that choose open-face over full-face helmets because they are embarassed to be seen in good riding gear while riding small bikes.

Only god knows what they are thinking.

A friend once laughed at me for being so "siao on" to wear my mesh armoured jacket, gloves and full face helmet everywhere I go. Saying things like "WAH! KNN! 125cc only, you wear like wanna go racing like that!"

All I said was, "Its a small investment on protection. Its not about me going racing. You see for yourself how many idiots using the road these days."

hahaha...should see me...i am wearing full gear with a small bike. EVERYBODY stares when i ride pass. i guess they think its weird or something. i'm just glad that if anything should happen i'll be as protected as i can be.

Learn to ignore them. Let them brand you as a poser and stuff like that. If they get into an accident and their skin got ripped off the flesh then they'll realise.

I placed my gloves on the computer that is running the CCTV at the place I'm working at. Dried off nicely..

Actually i find the bikers are still ok. It's the non-bikers...

I was with a group of female friends and while i was putting on my gear they were standing around saying to each other "Is that even NECESSARY?"

And I was only wearing fullface and gloves that day... and riding a class 2A bike

eh.. normally if traffic light turn green while i lanesplit, i will slow down. neh mind i slowed down coz of SLOOOOW cars moving off @ traffic light. that's me la.

coz it's exactly when cars start to move off that such cases can happen, the lorry most likely chuiz ald, steering loose or what...

when cars are ald moving, unlikely will "auto" steer. although we all know abt the ping pong rider from LTA ald.

i near case b4 coz of traffic light turn green, just like ur case. after that slow down liaoz. :cheeky:

i did say i won't be off-topic so i'll try to stick on topic and avoid anything about food...hehehe...

...about gear...

...i remember my fall on inline skates going at relatively slow speed...how fast can it be right? but still, with all of my guards on, i still got some pretty bad friction burns. imagine what an 80-90kph fall will get me?

well...i sure hope they will learn one day...and not the hard way.
