i really feel for you, sis! for me, i seriously have something against super 4 and drz. got 1 time got this drz wanna 'play' with me along orchard road. give some pity to me la. my bike is only an indian 2b bike. then, if on expressway, some super 4 just don't like me overtaking them. and they will just try to overtake me back.

i got one suggestion to all big bikes' riders. if you can't squeeze, please give way to 2b bikes! don't hog the way please! i've enough of super 4s hogging lane 1.5. then when i overtook them like how knucklehead did, they will just zoom past me close by when traffic clears up. seems like respect for fellow bikers is not there. super 4 big is it? at least for knucklehead, it's just once. for me, so many times leh!

crocodile alert!!

What makes u think some super4 rider didn't like you and thus overtook u back? You are just another rider on the highway, overtaking others and being overtaken.

If another bike gives way to you while lane splitting, its a courtesy; if the rider doesn't, its tough luck. You have no power to change that, literally and figure of speech. If you want respect from others otr, start by not openly stating a dislike for DRZ and S4 riders. I riding Fazer I see your post also want to tekan you.

And by the way, you are not riding an Indian 2B Bike. Bikes have no ethnicity. Riders do, not that ethnicity matters at all.

Heh, think he meant made-in-India machine, incredible FC but conversely underpowered. Bajaj Pulsar probably?

Anyway, I sorta agree, it's not the ride but the rider. Just so happens S4 is one of the most commonly seen bikes around, there's bound to be a noticeable number of idiot riders on them. That small percentage doesn't represent the whole lot of them.

For me, unless the other rider intentionally execute provocative moves, overtaking is part and parcel of riding, nothing personal. If i am overtaken on a straight, probably the other rider has better machine or less regards for possible speed cameras. If i am overtaken on a corner, probably the other rider has more balls or skills (or a deathwish). Same goes if i overtake.

today whilst riding ...

almost got into accident on PIE ...

i was lanesplitting behind this rider ... when suddenly this bozo in his metal shield signalled and immediately changed lane, causing me and the rider infront to swerve away .... lucky for the rider infront, he managed to escape to th front, but as for me, there was a car on my right... i had to press more of my front brake and swerve left , nearly hit by the car behind. after that, a series of honks ... the rider who was infront of me was cursing at that bozo ... the funny part was , when he was cursing, i dont know what laa he babbling about, his left hand and head moving sia ... :sian:

then whilst at a traffic junction.. saw one very cute incident ... it's like, big brother fetch little brother from school. but big brother riding sportsbike, so little brother like scared2. little brother hug big brother tight2. then at traffic light, i think the big brother feel suffocated. then go take the little brother hand and "release" himself from the little brother's hug. big brother stretch2 abit, then take back little brother's hands and fit them back across his waist like a seat belt. hehehex ....

being overtaken is no problem at all. but some riders just like to overtake so closely. now that's the problem. and if a rider doesn't give away, of course i can't do much. that's why i'm here ranting my frustrations instead, knowing what i've said won't change a single thing at all. sorry if i sound so strongly against these 2 bikes. lemme rephrase that again. i'm beginning to have a personal vendetta against these 2 bikes, but most probably cos it's too common and there's more chances for me to be up against the 'fierce' riders of either of these 2 bikes. come to think of it. my good friend ride a drz and so many other of my friends ride super 4 of all versions! nothing against the bike but some riders just think that their bike is all high and mighty and just like to open their VTEC when overtaking. oh well.. it must be a personal thrill of those super 4 riders. i don't rode one so perhaps, i cannot understand how it feels. must be exhilarating since it always happen beside me on the road. and i really mean just beside for some occasions. sorry if you interpret it in the wrong manner.

and if you're riding a fazer, good on you. if you wanna tekan me, go ahead. you're not the first and won't be the last. i'll just take that as part and parcel of my life. but why must emphasize on the part that you ride a fazer? is it to discern yourself above others?

and btw, i rode an indian bike. which means a made-in-india bike. and bike is really judge by ethnicity. i can just go on and on about this but i won't. anyway, that's the past tense already cos i just sold it just now.

This one post alone can start a flaming war with the Super Four and DRZ riders.

i guess i just did! heh. sorry2 to all! i meant no malice.

this is EXACTLY what i'm talking about. asking me to bring my pulsar to india. how more pronounced can you be to distance yourself from me, just because i'm riding a lousy bike. oh well.. i deserve this for that misinterpreted sentence.

and i'm just riding a bicycle? don't worry bro. you won't see me on the road for the next few days. going by BMW till i upgrade to a japanese bike. and i'm just a poor student, not rich enough for an italian bike la. heh..

i think he really sums up what i really feel. i'm ok if you do your thing and i do my thing. but provocative and irritating moves really piss me off real bad and it happens to me mostly by super 4 and drz riders. in fact, class 2 riders seem to have more 'manners' than these class 2a riders. i'm generalising based on my experiences on the road though.

The thrill of hard acceleration on a more powerful bike is really something you have to try in order to understand. Since you have sold your bike, if you get a more powerful class 2A bike, you will understand it too. Maybe you'll even grow to like it

We can't change how others weave around us. I personally think Malaysia kup riders do it with more "style", but there's nothing much I can do about it too. Staying predictable and checking clear before we change lane should suffice. After all, Raptor still survived the infamous BKE too and he's still posting

impatient always arise during the period of going to work and knock off. Like today, at junction I saw the pedestrian light red but why the malaysian cub still hogging the road. After which I realise that he is giving way to pedestrain whom still crossing :thumb: but knn the toyota camry driver buey tahan wanna overtake from right.

I wonder if u're late, or going to be... rush through like mad dog wouldn't it compromise safety and the likely trouble you gonna go through?

yah we gotta be extra careful of pedestrian crossing at those un-destinated areas. They have the likely hood of hesitation, so we try to give way at all times lor. Today at zebra crossing too, stop and give way for pedestrian to cross. While I'm still stationary I saw this mum with her child on my left, they didn't proceed. After the pedestrian complete crossing and I start to move off they proceed haha... luckily i manage to brake, but from her looks guess she think i'm impatient bugger.

some drivers cut in last min, end up portion of his car here n there. I feel uncomfortable, at times gotta slow down and let them proceed first.

i realise that drivers lurve to stick to others butt as close as possible. If the front vehicle "zham" brake sure kiss de... but I also understand that if they close in the gap unlikely others can cut in their lane.

the more i read, the more interesting it is...

...drivers are the same everywhere...

...riders are the same everywhere...

...there are the considerate ones...the careful ones...the patient ones...the impatient ones...the careless ones...the inconsiderate ones...and the assholes...

...just choose to be the patient, careful and considerate rider when on the road and every other kind of driver/rider won't irritate me that much...and hope and pray that those unfortunately incidents (like what knucklehead said about that fella switching lane suddenly) won't kill me.

bike stall and plug foul in the middle of a 70km speed limit road today. thanks to all the drivers who stop and give way to for me to push my bike to the kerb side =) Was expecting some major horn blasting ( quite heavy traffic) but amazingly nearly all the cars stopped and signal me to push my bike to the side first and 0 horns!

should have known the stupid mitsubishi up to no good when noticed it was driving rather erratically.

Whatever it is... let your head control the throttle and not your emotions aka ego.

When you can get worked up by others on the road and feel you need to react to them... your emotions and ego are beginning to come into play and most likely caution will be thrown to the wind to prove a point.

That's when you start to ride out of your limits and capability.

A perfect set up for an accident to occur.

Ride defensively and assume that everybody else on the road is an idiot... and in that way if you happen to meet a considerate rider or driver.. take it as twice the blessing. If he turns out to be an inconsiderate idiot.. you already expected it so no big deal.

I have been riding for 33 years... and that is how I keep myself alive on the roads. You guys should learn something from this.

Actually I ride aggressively while assuming everyone else on the road are idiots. Not offensively or provocatively, but proactively moving out of potential danger zones and into safe pockets of spaces.

Too passive and cars treat you as invisible. :cheeky:

But you are right about the idiots part. After 15 years, there's not much they can do on the road to surprise me and get my temper flaring.

Actually I ride slightly faster than the traffic so that I only concentrate on all the idiots in front. All the time expecting an idiotic move from them like switching lanes without signalling. In a way... I guess I call that being defensive.

Mebbe the right word should be proactive instead of waiting for crap to happen then react to it.

yesterday, i saw a splitted big tree along the AYE! created a super long jam. got one van damn unlucky to be pinned underneath the tree. cannot be natural disaster! no rain no nothing! must sue LTA for not maintaining their trees in tip top condition! the van can go scrapyard already i think.

today is the first day since a long time i'm caught in the MRT morning rush. went out 20 mins early but still late by 15mins. now i can't live without bike! too dependent already! nvm. 2 more days to endure!

and just now while riding in a carpark, it was madness!! first a car wanted to come out from its lot. i had to swerve left to avoid it. only to swerve right again when ANOTHER car on my left also wanted to come out. that one never mind. after 10m or so. got ANOTHER car wanted to come out from its lot so i swerved left again to avoid it and then back straight only to avoid yet ANOTHER car that's coming out from its lot also! total madness! and yet scary!!
