today, just outside Jurong island checkpoint, a msian kup squeezed infront of a lorry to get into my lane. luckily he haf "good" brakes coz he managed to stop in time and avoid from banging into me. coz there's no way i would have braked in time even though i was at a relatively low speed.

 

if he bang into me, dont know who at fault. coz i was also in between slow moving traffic, and he even worse, squeeze perpendicularly infront of lorry to get to th other lane...

 

then at AYE>ECP, saw this lexus, same color as the bozo i came across yesterday. but today, it's a female driver. dont know how she drive cos i saw her squinting her eyes and drive.tsk ~

 

oh dear, in 5 days time, i'm gonna take the public transport, for the first time in nearly 2 months ... hari raya mahh, family no car ... sheesh~ wonder how i'm gonna feel.. hehees

Anyway, today while riding through heavy traffic at Bt Timah Rd towards town area, was lane splitting through stationary traffic at red light when i stopped behind a SUV due to the driver stopping his big vehicle too close to the other lane. To my surprise, he turn (and turn and turn and turn) his wheels, then inch forward to open up some space for my to squeeze through. Nodded my appreciation and squeezed through.

 

Considerate drivers still exists~!

Sometimes I travel around... 70-80KM then I realise many cars/commercial cars are going much faster than I do. I was pondering if 70-80 to a car is consider damn slow?

really?? for the past few days, i've been riding at about 70-80km/hr and i've been overtaking quite a far amount of cars. i think most drivers will drive really slow. it's just the few and dangerous cars that will go very fast.

easy! just use 1 mirror. can cut the chance of that happening by half already. but if still kena high beamed, then change lane lor. or just twist the mirror around for a while. i don't like mirrors, it makes me quite complacent.

talking about accidents, i saw quite a number of cars today with banged up rears, sides and fronts. is today an accident day? and the best is this big lorry creating a slight jam. after passing by, the whole front looks like it was burnt. i wonder what happened there.

 

today while riding, got 1 rider tried to be funny with me. just because a scrambler is beside him, he whacked throttle all the way till the next traffic light when the traffic light turns green. and also for the next 2 traffic lights. how i know he whack throttle? cos that's my old bike!! hahaha...

while riding, going down slope... with merging lane, check my side mirror saw this van and toyota sedan rushing towards my direction. I try to pick up somemore and get out of the race. The maroon toyota "chiong" all the way to my side, I kept horning... (think again waste my battery) chase the fellow and only get to look how "handsome" the uncle is. (waste my petrol) LOL

 

Going back... waiting at the junction turning left, this KRR is on my right whereas I'm on his left. Moving off check clear and turn, keep myself on the left. This bugger just turn n cut me, whereas I gotta move to the right... Saw the rider fidgeting like kind of "lost"....

 

Saw this phantom rider at the junction where IKEA tampines were. I'm at its opposite direction and given the green light to move. Then this bugger just chiong and make his right turn from the opposite direction...

today whilst riding, luckily i never wore sunglasses on the way back home. petrol hit to reserve halfway along ecp, just as i managed to turn the knob to reserve, it started to rain cats and dogs ... and i fishtailed alot alot of times. ergh ~ duro tyres are useless ! looks like my next pay will be going to a new set of tyres and new disc brakes....!

 

but i've got a confession, today i ride very offensively. coz i was already late for work. then some apek decides to lane split soo slowly on PIE, creating a loooooooooong line of bikers lane splitting. TSK . make me more late. apologies to anyone who i've indirectly offended today on the roads. heees !

was on my way back from work after a heavy downpour, was travelling in lane 3 of a normal 3 lane road. riding at least 75kmh, not far infront there was a vehicle, then suddenly i noticed a bright light shining on my mirrors! this faggot mid 90s toyota corolla driven by a young faggot (think he still P-plate cos can see the p-plate on his windscreen.) tailgating me so closely until i can see his bonnet on the top edge of my mirrors... what a faggot... not only that he drove very near to the kerb in an attempt to squeeze past me, i was riding to the right of the lane but not so right till almost to the lane markings. it was just impossible to squeeze past me unless i was lane splitting which im not committing at that point of time. what was that young fag thinking? what audacity especially from a p-plater... so i tap my rear brake a few times as a sign for him to back off... after that maybe he scared liao, back off a little, then he filter left into serangoon north ave 1. this is an typical example of a menace on the road. only a p-plater, imagine what he is capable of once his p-plate is down?... our roads are already full of faggot drivers, we do not need another.

Many people mistake riding decisively as riding offensively. If there is no action taken to provoke another road user, it shouldn't be called offensive. Riding carefully doesn't mean riding slowly either (i never believed in "riding slow = riding safe"), just need to be more conscious of the risks you're taking with potential hazards and the judgement whether they can be safely overtaken. So its actually better to be calm, careful and decisive when you're running late rather than panicking and trying too hard to catch up.

 

That said... If you fishtail too much, either change your tyres or your approach speed...

For me there's not much difference between a p-plater or non-p-plater. Both can screw up your ride anytime you're not careful.

sometimes, when you fishtail in the rain, you have to fine tune your braking techniques. it took me quite some time to get it right. if you say fishtail due to the white lines, even the best tyres won't save you. and why new disc brakes?? senget already ah?

 

and that's not my exact bike la. just the same model so i know how fast it can go. i felt like telling him that i used to ride that bike and the reason i change my bike is because i'm crazy for pickup. cruising at 80km/hr is fine by me but if i want, i can just drop gear and whack throttle to open the valve and get nice pickup. 125cc and it feels real good, i can't imagine a 250cc 2 stroke bike!

 

today while riding home, i turned out at the same place from my school. remembering the day before that i skidded out there, i got chicken feet and ended up turning very wide. cos i scared myself that i won't be able to make the turn on the road. seriously, they should do something about this!! too much sands on the road is just dangerous for bikes!

 

and today while in class, i learnt how not to skid while on the turn.

1) neber go near debris collecting vehicle (leaves/ branches/ sand/ stone/ mud/ cement etc)

2) neber go near garbage collecting vehicle
