Drivers often think that bikers are road pest, yeah I am one big road pest. Well the reason is I have a nasty hobby, I like to break side mirrors of any car or van along the way and sometimes I would like to squeeze in between two cars with another biker who was already in between the two cars.

With all the traffic lights, and heavy traffic at the school, kk hospital, little India, to raffles hospital. 4 mins can reach? Might as well say 2 minutes can reach or 1 minute can reach Liao. 2am 1 minute enough. 1-2pm 4 minutes a bit hard la.

How u break side mirrors ah? I tried kicking a cars side mirror but never break, I used my fist tohit a taxis mirror but also never break. The only mirror I managed to break is a lorry's mirror, but my glove got cut by the broken glass. -.- icut myself too. My fingers kena scratched.

I agree with Wan that people like you are the pests on the roads. Just last week i nearly got pulled into an accident because a kup rider had the same mentality and tried to squeeze past a bike that was already lanesplitting. It's a good thing he was the only injured person in his accident. That should take him out of action for a while.

with regards to the singtel dig den m1 dig den starhub dig etc, my bro got call up the relevant authorities to ask b4. the person say that aft they finish digging and patching up the road, have to wait for abt 1-2 mths for the "patch road" to sink in to the hole they dig so that it is stabilize den they will resurface the road

U know why? M1 apply permit with LTA to cut open the road. Apply permit a few thousand dollars. Of course LTA approve. LTA don't care abut the road conditions as long as they got money going into their pockets. And it's the permit holders job to resurface the road, not LTA. So u think LTA cares?

today while i was riding at bukit batok east ave 2. i was riding straight on the left lane when suddenly a mazda who was queing on the right lane to turn right swerve into the left lane without signalling. i know i had to react fast but i cant jam

brake because i would fall. so i no choice have to horn him. instead he stop for a very short while and then continue to swerve out wtf! I carry on holding the horn while turning myself to the extreme left side because we were very close. bikers would know even if you arent travelling at very fast speed of 60 and above you jam brake sure fall down one. So after i got infront of him i gave him the finger while concurrently he horn me back like how i horn him. then we came to the traffic light and stop before a red light. he even taunt me to have a go at him. oh my god make me dam angry. I didnt give him the finger or got angry becuase of the way he horn, but he just dont care about someone else's life at all. we should look out for one another and if i can brake in time surely i will because i dont see the point in going through the trouble of claiming insurance and stuff just to get infront of him. I got my driving license and riding license from BBDC and they emphasize alot on defensive riding and i am very grateful to that because riding defensively really can make accident avoidable and is a very useful skill. However people like him who didnt give a dam about other people and dont even feel guilty should not even be on the road, but sadly they exist. so guys please ride carefully.

 

I feel ashame of my behaviour by giving him the finger no doubt. But i just want drivers to know that you get involve with an accident with someone and it does not stop there. his or her family will be dramatically affected in many ways.

 

So motorists please look out for one another and make our road a safer roads.

Well dun ve to feel too bad la. I think many of us may do e same in tat moment. But for future cases maybe can consider exercising some anger management. Let me. Explain in more detail below.

 

1) react angrily by fine + honk + w/e

 

Drivers who realise they r wrong may (a) apologise as best as they can if confronted. (b) defend themselves with excuses like u were too fast, didnt c u, bla bla bla.

 

Drivers who do not realise they were wrong will usually react with anger and the feeling of being wrongly accused.

 

Drivers who ve bad attitude will either heck care u, treat u as invisible or take the chance to let off steam by arguing with u.

 

If any of the positives occured, there may be a +1 better driver on e road. But if negative occured, it is much likely tat it will be +1 lousy driver on road with anger towards riders. (we ve to admit tat some drivers c riders as 1 body similar to how we often c taxis as 1 body)

 

And the more lousy/negative drivers there r, the more insafe for us.

 

2) exercise anger management by refraining from rude gestures (society defined) or extreme honking

 

All e situations described in (1) may occur. But as anger is being managed, there is a higher chance of the driver responding in a positive manner. In this way it is possible to ve more +1 better drivers.

 

Naturally more better drivers = safer roads for us.

 

Note tat this is not something tat will happen overnight, it will be years before we can enjoy e fruits of labour. But since e roads r already so dangerous, we as riders can try to not make it worse right?

 

Ps: if we can learn this anger management, it will surely help us also in work, friends, family. I mean, wat is worse than causing danger to 1's life? If we can control our emotions in such a situation, we will be better in personal life too.

Peace. Anyone knows the minimum fine amount for speeding exceed 41-50km/h on a 60km/h road? 12 demerit points and Notice of intended prosecution. Ask me attend court if they issue a court summons to me. I say if because their letter say "a court summons MAY BE issued if they intend to prosecute me."

Parked there for 3 months. Was with pillion some more. Taxi made an illegal u turn even when he saw me approaching, causing me to e brake. After that he signaled left to go into a filter lane with 2 lanes. I was on the right lane of the filter and he was on the left lane. He was half a car length ahead of me when he suddenly cut into my right lane, still with the left signal on. Second e brake and this time, left with half a wheel length before impact. Had enough of his driving. Rode up beside his taxi, banged down on his mirror, never break. So I closed his mirrors. Don't tell me he was using his mirrors at all. First illegal u-turn, second lane change without checking anything. Am I supposed to believe he didn't see me in both incidents? Both happened less than 30 seconds apart. Like that how? Justifiable? Because I don't really do this. I just whack throttle and go off. But seriously, the taxi drivers way of driving is gonna get someone seriously injured one day. That's why I did what I did.

Does tat mean drivers should do something like bump into e idiot rider. Try to break his mirrors. And since riders turn our heads to check blindspot, so since e rider dun check, maybe break his neck?

 

Or e rider tat dunno how to wheelie and try too hard, maybe should beak his front wheel since he wan to wheelie tat much.

 

Or those tat try too hard to overtake during LS, maybe should side swipe them so their bike and body become thinner. Can squeeze more efficiently.

 

Or like ur example, if a rider dun check their mirror, break them? How about those riders tat put those tiny useless comestic mirrors? Useless right? Break la!

 

Or those speeding recklesly. Driver should bang them hard make tjem fly. Beco when flying only got air resistance. High chance of reaching max speed in that instance of flight.

 

Does any of the above make sense? Ve u ever tried a peaceful method. Ve u considered tat e taxi driver will anger and take it out on e next rider like wat u said "taxi driver's way of driving".

 

I noe its hard but violence will not get these drivers or riders off e road. Lets me fair and face e facts. There r both f up drivers and riders. Taxi, lorry, car, small, med, big bike. All got black sheep. Lets stop this car kills us ****. It should be other lousy/idiot/watevernameshit ROAD USER / VEHICLE OPERATOR.

 

I may be thinking to much, but we should focus on defensive riding and taking e effort to eduxate whenever possible.

I know i only 7months on the road experience. But i am someone with a quick temper. But since i started riding, i learnt very quickly that quick tempers kill you quicker too. Because the red mist will blind your judgement on the roads, and accident chance will +500%. Usually, when i meet driver on the road who do stupid maneouvres, i just find some way to get away from them for my own safety. No point getting angry, not like they will kowtow to you and say sorry. For those extreme cases that nearly cause me accident, if i'm too angry, i'll take in 10 deep breaths and blow them out angrily, that will take the steam off. If not, then i'll stop somewhere safe, take off my helmet and rest 5mins, then carry on with my journey. It helps to keep a cool head on the road.

Npz. It is very difficult. I noe becoz i am also rider and ve experience my share. But not like pjy's encounter. Guess im lucky.

 

But anger management is very useful. Practice when possible. If not just ride off. Scream in ur helmet to let off steam lo. I always cursing in my helmet but when i ve e chance to talk to those drivers, i control and do it as nice as i can.

Defensive riding, the TP summon. U jam rear brake to avoid collision with a car in front, inconsiderate and reckless driving, $200 and 3-6 points given. How like that?

Then don't ride la. Malaysian kups 10 times worse than me please. I considered safer than them Liao. U a rider, but u scared of other riders. I not scared of riders, I more scared of cars than riders. The accidents why? First accident, driver cut into my lane, I bang him. Second accident, I going straight at a junction, the car from opposite side turn right into my lane, I bang him. Third accident, the driver can't see me, bang me from behind. Enough Liao I tell u. Why I speed? Cos got car tailgating me. Why I never brake? Brake and let the car bang me? Why I never change to the left lane? Lorry speeding beside me. 70km/h started tailgating me with a lorry to my left and the junction a few hundred meters ahead. What u want me to do? Brake and let the BMW bang me and get claimed for braking for no reason? No. Change lane and let the lorry bang me and I get claimed for abrupt lane change? No. Maintain speed and let the BMW tailgate me closer? No. What else left for me to do? Of course speed up to the traffic light where it's safe for me to slow down between 2 vehicles what. Even if bang, I'll be safe between the 2 cars that cushion the bang. Won't be as pain as getting the full force of the bang what. Am I wrong?

Been using the horn alot more than usual lately. In a distance of about 200m I passed by 5 carpark entrances and exits. 3 times drivers just tried their luck to quickly speed out while I am approaching. Twice out of a big bend and another a straight road. All within a span of about 5 minutes. Apparently to them endangering a rider's safety is no big deal. Sadly not caught on video. Guess there are more reckless and inconsiderate drivers than good ones.
