Hi guys, I'm currently in need of lotsa pointers caz my speedometer's faulty. The needle on the meter could just suddenly go up and down then drop to 0kmph, then suddenly work for awhile den die off again in a single trip. Although the RPM is working perfectly, the VTEC valve was still blocked. The funny thing is, the VTEC only works when the speedomater is working and once the speedometer drop to 0kmph, the VTEC valve just cut off suddenly. I've just been to Motor Factor to have this problem solved but to no avail. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks in advance... :help:

if it is new bike or under warranty... get it replace maybe juz faulty speedo.

 

else go boon siew.

the speedo sensor is kaput. i kana before. will cost around $100 to replace. try motoworld. i got mine fixed there.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions n help. Thanks palmer, i was able to suggest to my mechanic what could've gone wrong caz he could hardly get the problem rectified, remains to be seen. Thanks a lot though.

FJT also have sell version S speedo meter casing as for the price not so sure u can give a call and ask abt the price .

My speedometer not working? Is there a cable or is it electronic? Im riding vtec1. Does any1 know the cost of repair and where to get it done? Thanks alot

it uses electronic sensor.. not too sure how 2 check.. but if its realli spolit can go FJT 2 buy..

Does the meter still has the light ? If no light, you might wanan check out the fuse if they are blown .

if just the speedo not working maybe wiring got problem.

or maybe ur speedo sensor(under the airbox) is spoilt .

What if the speedometer fluactuates.. like for example... 78 to 83 when im travelling at a constant speed of 80, and 87 to 93 when im travelling at a constant speed of 90km/h?

 

What is the problem here? I suppose it is giving signals that it's gonna spoil rite?
