Hi guys. Any recommendation of workshop/place to overhaul rxz in Singapore? Basically, not fully overhaul. My conrod is bend and need to change it. Any recommendations? Finding for a good workmanship and minimum time to complete! Bike is used for work. Thanks in advance.

I just got chop from a bike shop because of desperate as i fail my inspection on my 3bs pipe on my 5pv rxz. I went around asking for 5pv pipe and i bought a 2nd hand one at $280sgd. After i bought, a malay bike shop called me and offered me $180 for 2nd hand. He was shocked that i accept the offer at $280. Now this is going for less than what i spend for 2nd hand. I wish others that havent change back use this opportunity to change back.. Other than this fb page, Once in awhile you will see brand new 5pv pipe from weda or united impex. Once awhile only 1 piece. Very limited. They will sell about $300. So i post this here. Cheers

My dad says that the piston ring broke. I overhaul-ed the whole engine 6 months ago, including changing the carb.

Thanks Frslims! Which workshop normally go to service your RXZ? Cause this kind of sensitive 2 strokes not alot of young mechanics know. I normally go to Friendship Motor @ Bukit Merah.

I think is vacuum leak from the carb. Normally, it dont hiss when I rode it. and the fuel came out of the exhaust when I push start it.

Recently took over a 1989 rxz from my friend, using it as a temporary ride before my bike comes back from repair.

 

Some background the bike has been sitting in the carpark for about 2 years not ridden.

 

Today I sent to workshop to change spark plug, battery, and did something to the carb and it's up and running, inspection passed. Got my road tax and insurance for it to be on the road once again.

 

However on the highway the max I can go is 60-70kph, power gets cuts off when I hit that speed, same goes for gear 1-5, can't drag above a certain rpm/speed. Anyone knows why and can help thanksss.

rebore ur block change new piston 1 set, if no diff worst case senario oil seal crankshaft leak, hence u cant go above a certain rpm/speed.

Thanks bro, but found out the problem, silencer clogged and choked the air flow, back pressure causing decrease in power.

 

Now able to do 90-100 for rxz is that normal? Fuel Economy 18-20km/litre which I think is very bad.

Should be can run to 120+

 

Yeah your fuel consumption is bad. Should be can up to 20-25

my tachometer broke down so I cannot really gauge the RPM by sound so I don't dare to over rev. now still thinking which part of the bike requires fixing to improve the fuel economy.

Check ur carb main jet and pilot jet size. Stock or changed before
