Dear.....

Why need to abuse the RXZ? Mine is engine 100% stock, using pipe from even older model (but new), sprocket 15-40. Top speed when i really whack it is 160 alright, with passenger 120 max. Usually i don't go faster than 110-120 anyway on Bangkok roads. Economy is when i ride alone 300-320 kilometers, then i fill 10 liters and full again. With a passenger can go 240-250 kilometers and fill 10 liters (when tank meter needle reaches left end of scale, 10 liters just fit, so it isn't really empty).

If your Z runs well and is "just slow" but good pick-up, change the rear sp[rocket to a smaller one. You will lose pick-up but gain speed (and become more eco too because run faster at same rpm!) Original sprocket i think 46? Check yours. Can go for 42-40 no problem. I used to go with 36, very fast but rarely can use 6th gear (no power) and slow with passenger.

Yes, the Z got CDI, it's sitting under the tank.

And about the "2a-2b" thing i don't know (i'm not Malay or S'Porean) but if your friends ride faster bikes, let them race.... if they don't wait for you they're no friends, just "show-offs". You'r breaking the speed limit anyway. In my home country when we had ride-outs wit the whole group (50cc club, some speed 25 km/h, some 40, some 50, some 60 and some unrestricted) the SLOWEST one was to lead because faster bike can ALWAYS go slower, but slowest can't go faster.... ride as a team, not as opponents.

Wanna race, do at night :) I myself don't care if one is faster than me - anyway only highly modified kapchai beat me at the lights (and i catch them after 200 meters and let them smell 2T!), and other Z's in top end... that's fine for me.

Best regards.....

Hello :)

I'm sure here too... even tough i am probably the longest distance away from all of you :) Otherwise i could not have sent you the pm, right? :)

I got here when i googled for a problem i had with my Z (and still have in fact, seems to be build-in because nothing that i do resolves it....) and have since stuck here too..... all people here are either Malay or Singaporean, while i am a German living in Bangkok, yet we have one thing in common - riding RXZ :)

About that problem which i have, i'll post again maybe YOU know what it could be....... it's been there since i got my Z:

When i accelerate, it goes smooth as silk - up to around 4.800 rpm, then it stuck. I then have to either shift a gear down, or really ramp it up going downhill.... once over 5.200 rpm it goes smooth again all the way to the top. It is like there is a "restriction" at roughly 5.000 rpm.

I have already had the block bored and got new piston, new carb (whole carb brand new, stock one - no tuning part), three different pipes (original, after-market and brand new original older RXZ one), new reed valve, a number of new spark plugs, new ignition coil etc.... still always the same problem is there.

If you know a solution, please... let me know :)

@ A-An 07 i'll send you my address via PM ok? :)

I wish a nice day to all of you......
