If this is posted in wrong section I appologize, please move it to relevant subforum. I am based in Phuket, Thailand and my question is:

What are the best places in Singapore to purchase Superbike Riding apparel?

I am talking top of the range stuff, racing suits, boots etc...

Please advise, I am on my way to your lovely Republic, need as much info as possible. Phone numbers and website addies would be very usefull.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

You'll have my thumbs up for both Motoworld branches. They've got a massive range of branded sportbike goods.

I bought stuff from JR before.

In my opinion, their after-sales service is rubbish.

Heck, I even got recommended the wrong size for a back protector. The sales assistant didn't even bother to take my measurements and refer to the size chart; he merely looked at me and recommended a size. So much for product knowledge and professionalism. o_O

Before I made my purchases there, I thought it was a boutique-level shop, seeing that Dainese is a premium brand. I sure was wrong.

Now, if there's a Dainese item I want that's available from elsewhere at the same price, I'll get it from there.

Well, that's just my personal experience. Maybe I was just sway.

If you are after top-of-the-line racing apparel, I have MotoGP-quality Arlen Ness and Berik apparel. (e.g. MotoGP replica kangaroo leather suit with titanium armor) I don't have a storefront. Everything is online. But that lowers my cost and thus the price. PM me for details.

I have had bad personal experience with Motoworld at Kaki Bukit. I was largely ignored by the sales staff. Mind you, I was dressed for the ride in my mesh jacket and jeans, not in singlet and slippers. I have no idea what they were thinking, but I am going to bring my business elsewhere. My best experience was with Chiap Lee near LAB, next to the DBS ATM along Jalan Besar. Friendly staff, even allowed me to try on the Arai helmets. Thumbs up!

I suddenly felt compelled to post this because something finally came into mind, having lived in both the US and Singapore and experiencing the culture in both places.

One thing to remember when you're in Singapore: As long as you're on 2 wheels -- suited up with protective gear or not, the public regards us here as a "biker". In that context, this is akin to a small peanut riding a small cub. Worse still, cagers here are out there to kill us, mind ya...

For ya, I'm going to convey this sentence to ya:

"This is SG, live with it..."

I can't put this into something that's politically correct. And I'm not trying to insult you or anything. In fact, I carry that thought with me everywhere I travel in SG on my 2 wheels.

P.S.: I wish I was in the US right now...haizzz. It's a hard knock life here.

:offtopic: SG is the place to be. There's so much crime here, it's not even funny. Plus I don't have my bike here and everyday I see squids zoom around on R1's with no helmet. The only redeeming thing is that I have a nice car to drive around in hot summer.
