the screws are at the pivot... where you flip the pillion foot rest up and down...

LAB should be the cheapest... but for rider...? I think you shouldn't... it might affect your controls... anyway I dun even put my foot on the footrest (muahahahha thanks to today's mod)

Hi guys,

need some guidance here..

Every morning when i wanna start my bike... i would need to pull the choke before being able to start the bike. they said it's not recommended to keep using the choke as there might be some mixture in the air and stuff which might lead to a faulty engine.

is it normal for the bike to vibrate during idle? a good term to describe the vibration is the view at the side mirrors get slightly buzzed...

i've adjusted the idle speed but to no avail...

things i've done, i checked the air filter - bright orange! =D

recently just changed a spark plug and EO.

dun really know how to wash a carb... neither do i know if i need to send it for washing.

therefore, i needa know what is the problem before solving it...

any idea what's the issue?

Thanks alot guys~

*ps sorry for the new thread.

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)

Personally, I feel that even after a cold night in Sg, should be able to start without the use of choke. Suggestion is to bring your bike for carb tuning.

Vibration is pretty normal, don't sweat over it. :)

For wat i tink , if on the choke too often will damage the engine as the air mixture and etc..... maybe if the battery that causing the problems. For the vibration part... all bike will vibrate on idling......den when u see the side mirror definitely it wont be a clear view.... i have try to reduce by applying the front brake that will reduce abit of the vibratation...

for wash abt the carb... lao jiao please advice... i also interested to know... coz i everytime go MR CHONG to wash the carb.... muahahaaaa

cheers...!!

hmmm.... thanks for assuring me the vibration is normal...

as for the engine... i'll probably try a few more days first... my fren say it's pretty cold lately... so it's quite hard for an old bike(2003) like mine to start...

any idea how to check the battery?

and how long does it take to wash a carb?

anyone did full servicing @ planet b4? eg. wash carb, and so...

how to tell ah chong i wanna service the bike?

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)

your bike isn't that old... my 2001 bike starts normally on a cold night without using a choke...

you will need a voltmeter to check the battery, but I think you should just go to planet. tell ah chong that your bike hard to start, need to use choke, and he will automatically find your bike's fault

if he really does recommend washing carb expect to leave your bike there for many hours, or even overnight

May i iask what the pressure for phantom ta 200 of front and rear....tyre

Not sure if the pump gauage if faulty...it's reading 300 when I pump last night... ?

From Honda's Phantom to ..................

Clearing each stage at SSDC and BBDC for bike license was fun !!!

I usually keep my pressure at 220 front 230 back... 300 is like your tire going to explode...

if you have money to throw away you can pump nitrogen at motoworld... dunno what is it for, doesn't feel much difference... but only 5 dollars though
