There used to be a small road near my previous flat that was chained up, but bikes still park there every night by going over the pavement. At night there were 10+ bikes there. Went on for over a year at least.

A few months ago, SBS "abandoned" one of the bus stops near my house. This bus stop is quite big. lots of space.

 

Recently, one bike started to park there. Soon, it became 2 and 3, now it becomes a full fledged bike parking space.

 

The bus stop is not considered part of the pavement right? Maybe this is a loophole. Free parking forever?

 

Personally i dont think there is any so call "FREE" things in SG

 

sooner or later the Goverment will get to know and thats it

Parking at roadside on double-yellow line, whether big road, small road or even tiny road, confirmed get $70 bonus without a moment's hesitation, and rightly so. Pavement parking also gets same bonus , but sometimes they give chance one eyes not so open ;-) esp if effort taken to be not too obvious or blocking pathways ... Bless them ....
