xbfish...nope..not dripping...

don...ouhkay...i intend to go down to unique to enquire bout it once my wallet allows me too..

EO not dripping again means your piston ring okay. Actually I think overall your engine okay lah. No problem don't go down shop open block all these. Later they chop you say this spoil here spoil. CBR150 is 4 stroke. Not so easy spoil one. The most common wear and tear in cbr150 is cam-chain and piston ring.

Since you don't face these problems, just change your EO regularly will do. Save up your wallet for other think :D

hi guys long time no see hahha..

hows life with the cbr150?

haha i am still wondering what happened to mine.. and where would it be. would like to see it on the road one of these days. haha...

nyway, talk about r15 Vs Cbr150.

i dont like about R15 is because the engine like abit retarded leh. like, when i blip the throttle, the bike got this.. "HUH?~? Vrrrrrrooom" space... but when i blip my ex cbr0.15k3, it went to life immediately?

i was wondering could it be the CDI's issue? u know likw stock Vs after market...

btw, Cdi stock and aftermarket, u will feel the GREAT difference... really no kidd. hahaha

i suppose that the throttle response lag is due to EFI versus carb? i find this throttle response lag when i drive the auto family car. make me continue to enjoy riding and overtaking on my cbr150.

:cheeky:

curious abt the aftermarket CDI. does it merely allow u to exceed RPM restriction & rev to redline or does it improve any other thing else?

Plug head already $35.... coil $45... at times like this i wish i was riding honda wave... their plug head only $8....:cry:

plug head is just to transfer electricity from cable to spark plug. dont think it will spoil so easily. spray some light grease onto the contact points and it should work great.

the plug head costs more probably cause the plug head for cbr150 is much longer & comes w/ the dust seal etc i guess?

:sian:

when fixing up the coil, must make sure it doesnt come into contact w/ engine block or bike frame etc. have had previous bad experience on my previous X1. bike engine dies off when riding in heavy rain. ended up traced e issue to plug coil short circuiting against bike engine casing. rain water made the shorting more jia lat. screw the aftermarket plug cable which was excessively long, hence causing the shorting.

xxxrated...can tell me the shop?and location?

http://i45.tinypic.com/2v0omrr.jpg

3007 Ubi Rd 1 #01-430, 408701, Singapore

p: 67474740

I overhauled there total for $400... including spare parts and labour but have to wait many many days as my bike was sleeping there untouched because the shop is too popular already.

If you ask me any motorshop will do.... just ask around how much is it to do top overhaul... you can even do at your regular motorshop.... top overhaul cost is usually around there la...

Anyway from what you describe i don't THINK your bike need overhaul... just change oil more frequently every 1000-1500km interval instead of every 2000km.... and also try to use semi synthetic oil ($10-$15) instead of fully syn (which i believe is more prone to "evaporating" because it is lighter), observe and see how....

Reason being: Nothing spoil ma.. No white smoke no leak no funny sounds... what for spend the money overhaul?

Another good bikeshop i used to go to is Bikeworkz. Boss there friendly and will troubleshoot your bike and explain what is wrong (if any) to you patiently. It is also very popular place and waiting time is long.

Like what Chris said, go to planet... For 4 stroke, the term full servicing sound so wrong. No or minimal carbon to polish. Only top overhaul, to change piston ring or piston.

How many KM did you change your EO? Because no white smoke coming out from your exhaust means your EO are not being combust into the engine. This mean your piston or piston ring are still in good condition. So a good question is where did your EO go to?!

When you park overnight, did you notice your EO dripping over the floor?

I also think his engine don't need overhaul. Not like last time your CBR like that, machiam 2 stroke bike! You forget to tell him $400++ for overhauling is you get the spare parts yourself.

Your bike was left untouched becos you get the spare parts! Less priority! hahaha :cheeky:
